Hmm, I've forgotten which ones you guys didn't have figure out, but I'll take a guess. Gen had a hermaphrodite option I was going to activate if anyone started breeding humanoids. Cro stood for Chroma (color) and was based on a 256 color map from the ancient days of computers. biggrin Hea Bo meant head=body, so a mutation here would have given a head separate from the body. Ovo meant method of reproduction, vivo meant live birth, other possibilities here would have been an egg stage that had to incubate for a while before hatching, or a crystal, or you might have had to feed the amorphous pet an item to get it to solidify, or any sort of other method b/c petshops use for reproduction. Bil was for body build - skinny, fat, muscular - which doesn't really apply to pets which have simpler anatomy, specifically no necks, so the null setting here is ahea for 'no (separate) head'. Jia was for giant, it would have indicated a body part disproportionately large or small from the rest of the body. And Q was miscellaneous for anything I decided I wanted to add later, maybe something like an elemental affinity or magic/psychic/superpowers, basically it would not have come into use unless a roleplay community developed.

Hi. No, I didn't have any intention of re-opening the mutables thread. But, you might be interested in my new project: have you ever heard of the Voynich manuscript? I was considering making a similar book - basically a graphic novel with mysterious ancient-looking illustrations (gods and goddesses, animals, astrology/astronomy, magic/alchemy) and text in a unknown language which was left as a challenge to the readers to attempt to decode.
