Luigi is the younger, skinnier and taller brother of Mario. He's known for being a bit more of a chicken than his older bro but he always comes to the rescue if he's needed. In fact, Luigi even went solo to save Mario in Luigi's Mansion on the Nintendo GameCube. And while Mario is known for his killer high-jump, it's thought that Luigi can control gravity, which allows him to remain in the air for longer when he jumps.

Luigi's rival is Waluigi, who is the sidekick to Mario's enemy Wario.
Luigi's name is a pun on the Japanese word "ruiji", which means "similar".
Princess Daisy is rumored to be Luigi's girlfriend.
