Abrahamic Faiths

Islam

"He is God; there is no god but He, He is the Knower of the unseen and the visible; He is the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate. He is God, there is no God but He. He is the King, the All-Holy, the All-Peace, the Guardian of Faith, the All-Preserver, the All-Mighty, the All-Compeller, the All-Sublime. Glory be to God, above that they associate! He is God the Creator, the Maker, the Shaper. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies Him; He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."

"The Religion before God is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of God, God is swift in calling to account.

"People of the Book, go not beyond the bounds in your religion, and say not as to God but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God, and His Word that He committed to Mary, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers, and say not, 'Three.' Refrain; better is it for you. God is only one God. Glory be to Him - (He is) above having a son."

"There is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills. His throne comprises the heavens and earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him not; He is the All-High, the All-Glorious."

"God has not taken to Himself any son, nor is there any god with Him: For then each god would have taken of that which he created and some of them would have risen up over others."

"Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth- Lord and Cherisher of all the worlds! To Him be Glory throughout the heavens and the earth: and He is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom!.

And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

"God is the Creator of everything. He is the guardian over everything. Unto Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth."

Allah bears witness that there is no god except He, and the Angels and the ones endowed with knowledge, upright with equity (bear witness). There is no god except He, The Ever-Mighty, The Ever-Wise.

This [Qur'an] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded.

"The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than God, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muhammad] and those [before Him] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

But the Jews and the Christians say, "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Rather, you are human beings from among those He has created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the [final] destination.

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth,- let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things. He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah.

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet whom they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them. He enjoins upon them that which is right and forbids for them that which is evil. He makes lawful for them all things that are good and prohibits for them all that is foul and he relieves them from their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, honor him, assist him, and follow the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful"
The noble Qur'an, Al-A'araf(7):157.

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him."
—Qur'an, Sura 112 (Al-Ikhlas), ayat 1-4

There is no god but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God!

The Messenger of Allah ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ said:
Our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, comes down to us every night to
the nearest Heaven when the last third of the night remains, saying:
“Is there anyone to call upon Me so that I respond? Is there anyone to ask Me so that I give him?
Is there anyone to seek My forgiveness so that I forgive him?”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “God is One, and liketh unity.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Do you love your creator Love your fellow-beings first.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Religion is admonition, and it means being pure.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “God is gentle and loveth gentleness.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Learn to know thyself.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Go in quest of knowledge even unto China.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “God saith, 'Verily my compassion overcometh my wrath.'”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “God said, 'I was a hidden treasure. I would fain be known. So I created Man.'”

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - 'There are written in the prophets many parables, wherefore thou oughtest not to attend to the letter, but to the sense. For all the prophets, that are one hundred and forty-four thousand, whom God hath sent into the world, have spoken darkly. But after me shall come the Splendour of all the prophets and holy ones, and shall shed light upon the darkness of all that the prophets have said, because he is the Messenger of God' And having said this, Jesus sighed and said: 'Have mercy on Israel, O Lord God; and look with pity upon Abraham and upon his seed, in order that they may serve thee with truth of heart.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Do not exceed bounds in praising me, as the Christians do in praising Jesus, the son of Mary, by calling Him God, and the Son of God I am only the Lord's servant then call me the servant of God and His Messenger.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “May God fill the heart of that person who suppresseth his anger with safety and faith.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “God loveth those who are content.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Charity that is concealeth appeaseth the wrath of God.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Almsgiving is duty unto you. Alms should be taken from the rich and returned to the poor.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “None of you really has faith unless he desires for his neighbor what he desires for himself.”

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

Prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) said, "Do not tell lies, and do not do what you hate, for all things are plain in the sight of heaven. For nothing hidden will not become manifest, and nothing covered will remain without being uncovered."

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: Abu Bakr in Paradise, Umar in Paradise, 'Uthman in Paradise, Ali in Paradise, Talha in Paradise, al- Zubair (bin al-'Awwam) in Paradise, AbdulRahman bin `Awf in Paradise, Saad (bin Abi Waqqass) in Paradise, Saeed (bin Zaid), and abu 'Ubaida bin al- Jarrah in Paradise."
These are the Ten Companions of the Prophet who will enter Heaven

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - The best among you are those who are best to their wives.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “You must bury your differences and learn to live in peace with each other.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - "The best women in all the world are four: the Virgin Mary, Asiyaa the wife of Pharoah, Khadijah Mother of the Believers, and Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Whoever loveth to meet God, God loveth to meet him.”

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - "Pray to God who created thee, and he will give thee health; for I am a man, as thou art"

Ali ibn Abi Talib - "Fear only the will of God and you will have no cause to fear anyone else."

Prophet Isaiah (peace be upon him) - "Verily thou art a Hidden God"

When Luqman (peace be upon him) was teaching, he was asked, "What has brought you to be like this?" meaning his high rank. Luqman said, "Truthful speech, fulfilling the trust, and leaving what does not concern me."

Khidr (peace be upon him) - "Surely you [Moses] cannot have patience with me. And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?"

Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) said "May the LORD, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised!"

'God hid himself, and the angel Michael drove them forth from paradise. Whereupon Adam, turning him round, saw written above the gate, "There is only one God, and Muhammad is Messenger of God." Whereupon, weeping, he said: "May it be pleasing to God, O my son, that thou come quickly and draw us out of misery."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “The other Messengers of God had their miracles, mine is the Quran and will remain forever.”

Oh God, bless Your Messenger Muhammad and Your servant Jesus son of Mary. Peace be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he shall be raised alive! Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said - "How will you be when the son of Mary (Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur'an and not by the law of Gospel?"

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "On the Day of Resurrection the Believers will assemble and say, 'Let us ask somebody to intercede for us with our Lord.' … 'Go to Jesus, Allah's Slave, His Apostle and Allah's Word and a Spirit coming from Him.' Jesus will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking, go to Muhammad the Slave of Allah whose past and future sins were forgiven by Allah.' So they will come to me and I will proceed till I will ask my Lord's Permission and I will be given permission.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have right over you. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - The one who recites the Qur’an and the one who listens to it have an equal share in the reward.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - The best of those amongst you is the one who learns the Qur’an and then teaches it to others.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - Nothing is harder for Satan to bear than a person who recites the Qur’an by looking at the pages (of the Qur’an).

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - The people of the Qur’an (those who recite and those who memorize the Qur’an) will be in the highest level (in Heaven) from amongst all of the people with the exception of the Prophets and Messengers. Thus, do not seek to degrade the people of the Qur’an, nor take away their rights, for surely they have been given a high rank by Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - If you want ease and success in this world, the death of a martyr, to be saved on the Day of Loss, a shade on the Day of the burning Qiyamat, and guidance on the Day of going astray, then take lessons from the Qur’an. Surely it is the word of the Merciful, a protection from the Satan, and one of the most weightiest of things for the scale of (good) deeds (on the Day of Judgement)

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “Thus saith the Lord, 'Verily those who are patient in adversity and forgive wrongs, are the doers of excellence.'”

Prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) - “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven"

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - "Why do you call me good?No one is good–except God alone."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - “All God's creatures are His family and he is the most beloved of God who doeth most good to God's creatures.”

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - "I confess before heaven, and call to witness everything that dwelleth upon the earth, that I am a stranger to all that men have said of me, to wit, that I am more than man. For I am a man, born of a woman, subject to the judgement of God; that live here like as other men, subject to the common miseries.

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - `I am Jesus, son of Mary, of the seed of David, a man that is mortal and feareth God, and I seek that to God be given honour and glory.'

Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) - "It is written there how that the heaven of heavens cannot contain him, seeing that our God is infinite."

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) - The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his Soul, and placed it in a Celestial Splendour. God said: "Wait Muhammad; For thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my Messenger of Salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that Heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Muhammad is his blessed name.

Abu Bakr - "I have been given the authority over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me; and if I do wrong, set me right. Sincere regard for truth is loyalty and disregard for truth is treachery. The weak amongst you shall be strong with me until I have secured his rights, if God wills; and the strong amongst you shall be weak with me until I have wrested from him the rights of others, if God wills. Obey me so long as I obey God and His Messenger. But if I disobey God and His Messenger, ye owe me no obedience. Arise for your prayer, God have mercy upon you."

Jesus went into the wilderness beyond Jordan with his disciples, and when the midday prayer was done he sat down near to a palm-tree, and under the shadow of the palm-tree his disciples sat down. Then Jesus said: 'So secret is predestination, O brethren, that I say to you, truly, only to one man shall it be clearly known. He it is whom the nations look for, to whom the secrets of God are so clear that, when he comes into the world, blessed shall they be that shall listen to his words, because God shall overshadow them with his mercy even as this palm-tree overshadows us. Yes, even as this tree protects us from the burning heat of the sun, even so the mercy of God will protect from Satan them that believe in that man.'
The Disciples answered, "O Master, who shall that man be of whom you speak, who shall come into the world?" Jesus answered with joy of heart: 'He is Muhammad, Messenger of God, and when he comes into the world, even as the rain makes the earth to bear fruit when for a long time it has not rained, even so shall he be occasion of good works among men, through the abundant mercy which he shall bring. For he is a white cloud full of the mercy of God, which mercy God shall sprinkle upon the faithful like rain.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - "O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a message from my Lord and I, in response to Allah's call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah(Quran) in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the Ahl al-Bayt I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family."

Prophet Muhammad - “Humility and courtesy are acts of piety.”

Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)- "Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not"

Prophet Isaiah (peace be upon him)- "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - In the name of God, I put my trust in God. O God, I seek refuge in Thee lest I stray or be led astray or cause injustice or suffer injustice or do wrong or have wrong done to me!

Uthman said: "The Prophet took a covenant from me [not to fight at the time of my martyrdom] and I shall fulfill it."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "I am the city of knowledge and `Ali is its gate."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The most Compassionate of my Community towards my Community is Abu Bakr, the Staunchest in God's Religion is Umar, the Most Truthful in his Modesty is Uthman, and the Best in Judgment is Ali."

Ali said: "In truth the Prophet has made a covenant with me saying: ‘None loves you except a believer, and none hates you except a hypocrite."

Ali said - "Goodness does not consist in having much property and children, but in doing many good deeds, increasing your gentle character, and adorning yourself before people with the worship of your Lord. Then, if you do well, glorify God; if you do ill, ask forgiveness of Him. There is no good in the world except for two types of people: someone who sins and then follows up with repentence, and someone who races to do good deeds. What is done in Godwariness is never little, and how can something be little if accepted by God?"

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "There are people from the servants of God who are neither prophets nor martyrs, (but) the prophets and martyrs will envy them on the Day of Resurrection, They are those who love one another for the spirit of God, I swear by God, their faces will glow and they will be (sitting) in (pulpits of) light. They will have no fear (on the day) when the people will have fear, and they will not grieve when the people will grieve."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, God will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Someone who sets forth in search of knowledge is busy in the cause of God until he returns from his quest."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "He whose property exceed his needs, let him support the one whose property does not (meet his needs), and he whose food exceeds his needs, let him share it with those who do not have food."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)said: "If you love the poor and bring them near you, God will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)- "God does not judge you according to your bodies and appearances, but He looks into your hearts and observes your deeds."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)- "In the nations long before you were people who were spoken to [by the angels] although they were not prophets. If there is anyone of them in my Community, truly it is `Umar ibn al-Khattab."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)- "Anybody who believes in God and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in God and the Last Day should entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in God and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)- "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, I will intercede and say, 'O my Lord! Admit into Paradise (even) those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.'"

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best Jihad is to speak a word of justice to an oppressive ruler."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in God and the Last Day should be generous to his neighbor."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "If anyone is pleased to love God and His Messenger or to have God and His Messenger love him, he should speak the truth when he says anything, fulfill his trust when he is put in a position of authority and be a good neighbor."
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "No one can be given a blessing better and greater than patience."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The first to be summoned to Paradise on the Day of Resurrection will be those who praise God in (both) prosperity and adversity."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "God has revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one oppresses another."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The most enviable of my friends is a believer with little property who finds pleasure in prayer, who performs the worship of his Lord well, who obeys Him in secret, who is obscure among men, who is not pointed out by people, and whose provision is a bare sufficiency with which he is content."

Prophet Muhammad - “The love of the world is the root of all evil.”

Prophet Muhammad - “Adore God as thou wouldst if thou sawest Him for if thou seest Him not, He seeth thee.”

Prophet Muhammad - “He is of the most perfect Muslims, whose disposition is most liked by his own family."

Prophet Muhammad - “The grave is the first stage of the journey into eternity.”

Prophet Muhammad - “The Faithful do not die perhaps they become translated from this perishable world to the world of eternal existences.”

Prophet Muhammad - “He who believes in God and the Last Day should honour his guest he who believes in God and the Last Day should not annoy his neighbours and he who believes in God and the Last Day should say what is good or keep silent.”
