I'm probably one of the older users on Gaia. I'm happily married in Real Life.I'm total comic book and sci-fi geek. I saw the original Star Wars (ANH) on opening day in 1977. I have seen each one since on opening day.

I'm a big fan of Harry Potter.
I work in private security for the DoD.
When I got married, 5 years ago, my wife and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas and I fell in love with the ocean. If I don't see it at least once a year, I start climbing the walls.
I also love casinos and gambling. Not to the point where I'll destroy my life with it, but it is fun. I love Atlantic City and Las Vegas, especially Caesar's Palace. My favorite games are roulette and 3 card poker.
I have also studied Martial Arts. My favorite art is Eskrima, also called Kali or Arnis and collectively known as Filipino Martial Arts or FMA. I studied FMA for 6 years, along with a smattering of Jeet Kune Do and Silat.
The first art I studied was Wing Chun Kung Fu, which still holds a special place in my heart. I've also done a lot of study into Western Martial Arts as well, including western sword styles, classical rapier fencing, and Irish Stick Fighting.
