Lol I know, seriously.
Like the first day that we got our competition drill I was like "HECK YEAH" and I was just fine.
Then next day we added the music to the 12 sets that we learned and I kept messing up xD
They didn't tell us where the stepouts were so I was like "wtf....."
Not cool.
And our show is "Power & Grace" which is cool cuz we're playing classical pieces (The Firebird Suite and Swan Lake) but each side is different. Like on one side of the field we have the guard as "firebirds" which are scary and move in jerky movements and on the other side we have the swans which are magestic.
So I'm on the swan side and for the winds, we're marching halftime for a good portion of the beginning which I thought was cool. At first.
We're constantly switching between halftime and doubletime and it's so annoying.
The tempo is fast and what I'm used to but now suddenly it's like "NOPE. MOVE YOUR FEET IN HALFTIME WHILE YOU PLAY THIS FAST MUSIC" and it feels wrong Dx
And we're learning the first 16 sets of our second piece today :T
Our show has 4 songs.
The opener is like a short intro so it's only 12 sets.
Then there are 3 different movements after that.
Plus I already have our stupid "fun show" memorized. The name is deceiving. It is not fun.
It's a little show we put on with stupid popular music that people actually know.
We do it at most football games.

K so band camp is sucking :T
I mean, not to have a bad attitude but I'm so ready for it to be over.
But today is "gender bender Monday" so at least I'll get to see some cross-dressing.
Lol we do a different dressup day each day of camp.
But it's only in the beginning. People don't stay dressed up all day neutral
