Quick disclaimer: my profile sucks. I'm terrible with lookups so it's pretty much default settings all around.
I'm not really all that keen on telling you my real name, what with this being the internet and all. But I will tell you that I used to be Damned Marshmallow. (It was an inside joke my freshman year of high school. Don't ask. >.>) This account was originally a mule that I became fond of, and has since become my main. I've been on Gaia since... uh, hold on, lemme check. 05/08/2005. I'm twenty two, probably tall enough to freak you out, and I might be asexual. Either that, or I may as well be.
As a side note, I am the owner of two X chromosomes. (It means I am a lady.)
Anyway. Preferences. Not that you really need to know what I prefer, but then again, you don't really need to know anything I'm telling you. So.
I enjoy:
- Listening to my iPod, almost to the point of excess. I tend to suffer from withdrawal-like symptoms when I'm sans-music for too long. (Seriously, I've tested this.) My musical tastes are varied, but admittedly not very cultured. I know what I like when I hear it, but may not be able to tell you just why.
- Writing. It's one of the few things I think I'm instinctively good at, and practically the only thing I naturally enjoy practicing. It's always fun finding ways to better my little nublet talents.
- Way back when I was but a wee Graffiti, I was a chorus nerd and I still love to sing. Love it. I just... y'know, have a problem doing it in public by myself. Like many other people, though, I'm fine if someone is singing along with me.
- I also dance constantly, but once again, not in public. Just in my room. And if nobody else is around, then I'll run around the house dancing like the horribly white girl I am.
- I get along well with and genuinely enjoy the company of children. Provided their parents have instilled them with at least a basic sense of decency, anyway.
- I'm a stand-up comedy addict. It doesn't really matter who's performing, since even bad stand-up can be enjoyable in its own way. Or, you know, it can be horribly painful. It's sort of a toss-up, but usually worth the gamble. Plus, I have incredible amounts of respect for comedians who actually have the nads to stand on stage, with god knows how many people staring at them expecting to be entertained. I would probably have a nervous breakdown.
- I love reading just about anything, but especially dark and fractured fairy tales. Not the gritty rebooted versions of them, necessarily (thanks Hollywood movie guys, you can stop that now.)
- Mel Brooks is my hero. Seriously, the man is a genius.
I don't enjoy:
- Acquired tastes.
- Seafood.
- Shoes.
- Overconfidence/cockiness/arrogance.
- Self proclaimed nonconformists.
- Horny anythings.
- Rapid change.
- Compulsive liars.
- Attention whores.
- Fashion.
- People who argue politics. Not discuss, argue.
- Small talk.
- People making noise while music is playing.
