I've recently just gotten into Annie and I'm obsessed.

I really like Applause. I don't care for the pretentious-ness that sometimes comes with Gaga and this new era so far doesn't seem like it's filled with it. The video and performance were imo great. I loved the Just Dance part. <3
I hope ARTPOP is just some good pop music.

Lessee...my novel is in 102k-104k words depending on the word program. It's about a college sisters who finds an alien and try to figure out why he's here. All this interesting stuff. It's fun but as a writer it was really difficult to write. @______@ Ah well. It's done! I need to get an agent first and for that I need to make a query letter. You can read my query letter if you want, it's more or less a synopsis of the novel. (:

Yes, you can pm me! Unless you want to give it to me through email. (: sevirais@gmail.com if you want! You don't have to if you don't want to. Description is one of the hardest things to do in writing. And I know you're an artist cuz I remember you winning one of keiiii's categories in her contest! (: I loved what you did with Mana; she's great.

You are so funny! XD! Idk... I lie on my side most of the time, but then my armpit hurts. Or if it's nice I go outside and read for hours. It has to be nice out though, and I would want to knock out a hundred pages or less (I'm an average speed reader). Or I lie on my back. I like to read on my nook most of the time, or preferrably, really, because it's so easy to turn the pages with just a touch. But since I rent from the library, I usually get physical books.

Sorry I'm writing to you so late. I was finishing my novel. It's done finally. I'm so sick of seeing it at this point omg... @_______@ lol Probably not good when even I don't like it anymore! XD

Your library sound like the coolest library. You must put it in a story! heart Yeah, I'm not usually so into little nuisances of a person's life, but I would love to read your stuff. Well, I read everything so I'm sort of used to it lol! How long are your stories usually?

Just read Divergent and I thought it was fantastic. Yeah, some of the characters are very "YA" but I couldn't put the book down which says a lot about it. I think what makes it so good is the fact that everyone is split into 5 different factions. And we usually split people into factions as well, you know? I thought the mc was done well and very relatable (to me anyway). And the romance was cute and kind of like an innocent love. I'm putting the next book on hold and waiting for the last one to come out in October! Can't wait.

Yeah, I remember when everyone thought libraries would go to the dinosaur. But they are very much used in my valley. People check out library books all the time and usually a big bulk of them. My library has better nonfiction books than fiction, so I usually put all the books I want to read on hold or transfer. I've been hearing all this stuff about Divergent, even though I thought the sample pages I read were just ok, I'm still going to check it out to see what the fuss is about.

Wow, that sounds like a good reading list! I'm actually writing a book right now that is nearly done (sooo annoying to write this thing @_________@) and that's how I got into reading more often. I guess I thought if I write in YA genre I should know it (I think my novel is YA?). Anyway, I mostly read those even though they aren't great half of the time, just ok. I'd say my heart is with the classics like Mark Twain, Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson. (: I really love Stevenson's short stories I got at Barnes and Noble, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Suicide Club. Really, really great reads.

I need to get back on my classical kick again. I haven't for so long! Idk if you've read To Kill a Mockingbird, but I remember loving it. Great Gatsby was great too and I love how Fitzgerald was always so meticulous with his writing. He's very good. I also love T.S Elliot poems (The Hollow Men). So maybe check those out? I think I've heard people liking Memoirs of a Geisha even though it's not very accurate in terms of what Geishas do or so I've heard.

For YA only thing I can think to recommend this year is Legend by Marie Lu and Human.4 by Mike Lancaster. Both are great and Human.4 is like reading something out of The Twilight Zone. Legend is good but if you read the synopsis, you know where the story is going. So maybe don't read the inside panel of the book. XD;

Wow, seems like you got a lot out of it. (: I liked it a lot I guess in a sense that Orwell showed that humans are weak against evil forces. Like when Winston just sacrificed info about his girlfriend and later she lamented that you think you can be strong and that you'll stick up for what's right, but you can't. Once the govt found their weakness they ratted each other out. I liked how Orwell used symbolism (like when Winston gave his food to the skinny man with the fat man next to him). It showed that, though Winston was hungry himself and scared and frightened, he still had compassion despite knowing what would happen to him him.

You know, not a lot of it scared me. It was scary that it could happen, definitely, or that you see some instances today. What scared me was that, in the end, Winston accepted Big Brother and even loved him. THAT'S what scared me, that the govt. would become so tyrannical that we would not only love it but subject ourselves willingly toward it -- like it was a cause for good. Really crazy. Buuut that's why you can't put your trust solely in people or leaders. I think that's why it was so important for Orwell to talk about God in it.

You may have felt that way about the shoots and ladders game because it gives you a perspective on how life use to be. How, like today, we can be laughing and joyful when all the sudden things change. Orwell may have been getting across that things could happen suddenly without us knowing what to do.

But yup! Really good novel. I should buy it, I only rented it at the library. XD I'm such a cheapo. What's the next novel you're reading?

Hey! I saw that you're asking about 1984 (from stacy's comments lol). I've read it and it is depressing but the book doesn't try to give the reader hope, or lead readers on, you know? It constantly foreshadows that things won't turn out well, but that wasn't the point of George Orwell's novel. It was meant as a warning for future generations to not step into a world where you let a govt control you. I think it was against socialism but I think Orwell was sympathetic toward that too. So yeah.

I personally enjoyed it because it was so interesting. The ending was so so crazy and kind of haunted me. However, if you are a depressed person I would not recommend it. You kinda have to have a good head on your shoulders and think of the book in an analytical way because that is the purpose of the book. Yup. Hope this helps! (:
