I treat my Celestial Spirits as people, they are my friends and I refuse to use them as my shields, I always fight alongside them.
I was originally born into the extremely wealthy family Heartfilia, but I left home and followed my own path and joined the guild Fairy Tail.
My mother Layla Heartfilia died when I only was 10.
