Who am I?
I used to be a forum helper for the international music forum several years ago, which is why the FAQ sticky was written by me. (As an aside, please don't PM me about the forum FAQ). I was also pretty involved with Gaia before I moved out of the country. For the most part, I lurk around forums and keep to myself, though when online I generally spend my time in Gaia International and the CB.
I am a mother of a little boy, a precious treasure that I want to provide all the best for his future. With that in mind, I no longer have as much time to spend on Gaia as I once did, but I keep in touch with the people I have befriended on the forums. Don't be a stranger!
In a nutshell, I am an American living in Japan with my husband. Ideally, we would love to move overseas sometime in the near future. I'm ready to try a different place out, but we need to get our affairs in order first. All the preparation for making a new chapter in our lives is exciting, and I cannot wait to see what other twists and turns our life together has in store for us.

The poems below are ones that I have found and I think are beautiful. If you google intelligently, you'll probably be able to find the translations in no time. I refuse to translate them because I cannot do justice to the elegance of their words. I am such a nerd.

I tried to be a classy female samourai! What do you think??
Oh I hope things move forward with you, I'm sure you have enough on your plate to be worrying about potential kitty litter in his bowl. You guys considered moving to the US? If that option comes up in the near future again you shouldn't wait too long; I'm sure the kid would adjust fine but getting your husband to get his foot in the (working) door it might take some time. Well at least that's how it was with us... we stayed with my grandparents for about a good year til my stepdad found a decent job to even rent an apartment - of course my mom getting a housekeeping job helped tons but that's because we knew of a good ol' lady who needed one. But that's a big move for the unknown, not sure if I'd risk it especially with a young'un.
Yeah right now I'm not sure which way I'm headed in any general aspect. Just working, paying the bills and taking care of myself. Would love to go back to school but... time and money! gonk Don't gots it right now lol. I guess if anything I'm interested to see how our supposed end of the world would play out; no use in planning for the long run if our world does come crashing down before christmas haha rofl
Living with the in-laws now? Ah I see how that can be pretty stressful for you, but at the very least it's good to know that you have people you can rely on during difficult times. I remember the majority of my childhood was spent living with my grandparents (and my mom of course, but being the single mom that she was, spent most of her time away at work or out dating) and it was alright I guess, but then again if you're uncomfortable with the idea, I can see why. But who knows! If it weren't for that, I don't think I would've become so close to my grandparents. I hope everything works out for you, and your kid's turning 2 already!? Man I swear these years are slipping by too fast...
