Well, I do understand that the point of Memorial Day is for us to take the time to remember those who fought and died for our country, and that is not something I wish to diminish or demean. However, it also made me think of memories of times shared here with friends on Gaia. So, I wanted take a moment to send this note to some of my favorite Gaian friends as a little holiday inspired gift.

Not sure when (or even if) you'll see this message, but please know that you are still remembered fondly by some of your old friends.

It has been quite some time since we last had a chance to converse. Despite my awesome namesake, I have to admit that life hasn't really been all that different over the past few months. Still slowly working myself to death, although I did get another promotion back around April/May. Unfortunately, it was more stress and not much more pay... Nice to have the title at least.

And, how about yourself? What's new with you the last couple months? I know that you've graduated at this point. So find any interesting internships or jobs over the summer?

Well, who's a big kid now? wink

First and foremost, congratulations again on the graduation. Not that I had any doubts about you being able to pass your classes and actually finish college, it is still a major endeavor worth noting and praising.

Second, my sincerest well wishes on getting through graduate school. It's nice to hear that it'll be an shorter session (~7-8 months?) of schooling. However, the more intensive program could prove to be grueling, since you'll be factoring a lot more work into a shorter time frame. Did a graduate program myself after college, but it was ~3½ years of additional school. While well worth doing, it was a lot of extra time and money invested into my future.

And, third and finally, awesome news on your own apartment and dog. Remember when I first truly moved out on my own. No longer living on campus or having a place at home. It was both exhilarating and frightening, but totally worth it.
