First go to the gray bar on the bottom of the screen and look at the three buttons on the right. Mouse over the one furthest to the right and then click on the option that says (I think) sign in. Click on it, and from there, you can sign up for Meebo.

And that was my exact reaction when I read that. I almost got in trouble cause I was in the library when I read it and practically shouted. XD

So yeah, Gaia IM system/Meebo got a nice little upgrade, and now we can't IM the normal way. I signed up for Meebo though, and if you do too, then we can just IM again like usual.
