The most challenging part is really hard to say. Everyone has such a different experience. That being said, the hardest part for me was lack of appreciation. The country I served in, Lesotho, has been running almost entirely off of foriegn aid. The goal of Peace Corps is to go in and teach technical skills, or fill a temporary gap of skilled labor that the government can't fulfill(such as teachers). I would say 90% didn't care that I was giving up two years of my life to help their country... they only wanted a hand out like candy or literally the shirt off my back. The second most difficult part is lack of reliable communication and transportation. Let's just say if you have a meeting at 2PM count on it starting around 5PM razz
The easiest thing to get used to is lack of creature comforts like running water, plumbing, electricity, walking everywhere.
My favorite parts were the slow pace. Having time to get immersed in novels the way I never could before. Exercising wasn't a 20 minute block taken out of my day it was simply walking to work(I had a 20 minute hike one way). I grew alot as a person, become a lot stronger and more resourceful. It was also really rewarding to make such an impact on a few people's lives.
If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask. You can also ask my fiancee who I served with. Her GAIA name is Rethabile.
Once-
I had a freind named levi who followed me around, then when I went to chill with my other freinds he cried until i came back to him. :
And I'm thinkin' "WTF YOU'RE IN HIGH SCHOOL, WHY ARE YOU CRYING?"
After I told he i needed space with my other freinds but we could still chill'. He freaked and never talked to me again.
Later I found out he was gay.
:
If it goes badly I know some good hit-men 'round here.......

"Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop."
