You really think it's pretty? It's made of rather average things but I love it!

Yup, that is lucky. We only did accapella though, so it wasn't as bad.
Granted it's a fun song, I'd much rather hear someone else preform it. ^-^

Yeah, that sounds like fun. I'm sure the song is a lovely one though.
Any idea that may help you, if you could possibly find the song sung by another choir on youtube...you could use it as reference and help out those lovely sopranos. ;]
I know I did that when we did our song. My junior year we did "Beau Soir", it's a fairly classical piece and a lovely one too.
It was pretty difficult, mainly getting down the words. Sad thing was the teacher was saying them wrong.
I did some research and came in to tell the class about the right way. That and I was able to help the Sopranos after listening to the song some. ^-^
Thing that drove me crazy was every year for the winter concert we would sing "Carol of the Bells" and "Once Upon a December". Some people have no originality. -.-
Granted they're good songs but repeating them year after year since the 8th grade it got pretty old. ><

Yeah, that's what ours did actually, babied them.
When we split up to practice in our sections she would take the altos to the band room.
We'd choose someone as a group leader and I was lumped with playing the singing notes on the piano.
I can read sheet music but thing is I'm self-learning. Meaning I can only play with the right hand. -_-

Although we didn't have that problem with the guys, they were all serious here.
The altos on the other hand weren't and most had to mouth the words watermelon - canolope when they forgot the words...which was a lot.

Yeah, my school didn't get to sing that one. Although we did do Ave Maria which is also on there. ^-^
I miss choir. TT.TT had to give it up my senior year. That and the teacher that replaced the one from my freshmen year was obnoxious.
She kept trying to put me in as a alto when I was a soprano one. -.-
