It's actually not uncommon.

I'm a smoker, and like i said i go bad every time i smoke weed.

Hash is excellent though.

Most of the stuff you'd eat would probably not even see next week.
Do you have a mountain area in mind btw?
Then I could probably be of more help.
cause mountain regions differ vastly from area to area.

That is correct, but it would be tricky to to cultivate all nutrients needed by the human body.
Unless eating bugs doesn't scare you.

But, you're a vegetarian, right?
It would be nearly impossible for you to be self-sustaining in a mountainous area.
That is if you want to build a cabin and obtain at least some standard of living.
