The Story of her Tyranny;
Empress Mephisto the Ninth came into the world during the Red Winter. The only heiress to Mephisto the Eighth, the child would quickly grow into a life of luxury. When her mother was not away fighting the hordes or burning villages, Mephisto VIII would treat her daughter to the finest their kingdom would produce.
In her early years, Mephisto IX always demanded entertainment. Either from trained animals, or from the execution of a traitor. Under her Mother's arm, Mephisto IX would become just as shrewd and cold as the one before her. Such heritage would naturally attract assassins and thieves, which leads us to the plight of little Mephisto IX.
On a warm summer's evening, whilst surveying a garden of dedicous red and orange blooms, Mephisto VIII sat down on a stone bench. At the same time, the gardener had prepared a special mist to blow toward her. A mix of the most volatile of blossoms, the wind quickly sent Mephisto VIII into a trance. This made the job of her assassin easy, as he climbed down the stone walls to strike at her heart. Sensing her mother in peril, Mephisto IX quickly hurried herself to the commotion in the garden.
That was the first time she would ever use her powers properly. The man was near her mother, and about to end her life. Being so young and so afraid, Mephisto IX withheld all her psionic-electric energies in, her spirit fueling it's flames as she suddenly released. What happened next would only be whispered across the halls, as it was said the young dragoness not only destroyed the assassin, but her mother in one grand exertion of psionic power.
Years would pass until Mephist IX would forgive herself. Now at the young draconic age of 800, she would begin her rule where her mother had left off. This new campaign would begin first with the slaying of Lord Rann, king of the Valley Kingdom. For three nights and two days her troops marched down her kingdom's mountains, until they reached the river valleys.
They stormed the Grand Castle first, destroying the city of Shando in their wake. The fight against Mephisto IX and Lord Rann would echo well into the night, but neither royal would have it's victory. The fight left Mephisto IX's face scared, something she know hides under her veil.
Though she now sits on her throne, the empire she rules continues to expand. With each new drone, another province is captured. She does not believe herself to be vulnerable anymore, and believes the world is in her palm. It may take some hard learning before the Dragon Empress is taught how to be a proper, non genocidal ruler.
