I'm a writer -- an aspiring novelist -- if I can get a healthy dose of motivation, inspiration, and dedication injected directly into my system. To this effect, I enjoy reading thick books from authors such as Terry Goodkind, R. A. Salvatore, Terry Brooks, Garth Nix, H.P. Lovecraft, Christopher Pike, and so many, many more.
I enjoy Role Playing, from fantasy to horror to sci-fi. I've even tried my hand at dramas and school RPs, but I prefer sagas with a purpose. I don't mind being a supporting character, though I try to write with the heart of the lead. I'll be your faithful sidekick, so long as you don't call me sidekick. And if you need a bad guy, well, I can do delightfully creepy and dark, if need be.
I'm also an artist, though not in traditional media circles. I work with 3D models and Photoshop, and my work stretches from the whimsical to the strange and into dark science-fiction. I love messing with computers, and through my 'artistic' abilities, I try to reflect that.
Musically, I can appreciate every genre, from rock to classic, folk to tribal. I do draw the line at rap, however.
I have a deep-seated belief in all things mystical and fantastic, along with everything out there in the universe. I believe in aliens, advanced civilizations, dragons, and vampires. I often find myself at odds with everyone in my family because of my all-encompassing belief system, and my views on material needs and monetary gain (ever gotten into a debate with a Libra over money? I think it's useless. Libra can think of nothing else, I swear...) seem to just not fit in with the rest of the world.
I am in college now, but I originally came to Gaia to find friends, and have found a community of people mostly open to all ideas. I love that, and it's why I keep coming back. I need friends who understand (or at least pretend to, and I never know the difference, thanks to the internet buffer) and I'm glad I can find them here. So here I am, and judge as you will.
