I'm a vidoegame maker who's actually a Penguin in another dimension, but that's for my lectures on literature, programming, and randomness.` All you need to know is that I make videogamew with the AdventureMaker, and I can draw very realistically with the GIMP.
` Do you think that this is effective advertisement for WindowShades (just a demo now)?
` WindowShades is the videogame I'm working on right now. It's a puzzle game with action. I've actually put out two demo versions, and I'm probably going to putting out more and more demo versions that will eventually build up to the full version. The stuff I draw in The GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) that looks vaguely like it came out of a 3D renderer, but if you look at it for a bit you'll notice some odd inconsistencies. Combined with the AdventureMaker's (the program I'm making WindowShades with, adventuremaker.com has an unlimited trial period free version) ability to resize sprites as they go farther up/down the screen, you still get a pretty good 3D feel, even in the far less realistic pictures I got from EarthBound (through starmen.net).
` The cabin in the flashy picture is the cabin that you start out in. The big whole in the wall in the back could be considered a window, and in WindowShades, the main monsters all appear through going through windows. In fact, the ultimate boss will be unusually like the final colossus battle in Shadow of the Colossus, but the camera will be facing the character, and away from the windows PC that's shooting at you via the incredible unsexiness of windows.
` Actually, every 'colossus' in WindowShades represents a staff member from my favorite Mac emulation site: Aqua-Gero.com
` Every weapon/item will represent a download from Aqua-Gero.com, including a spell that controls the essence of sexiness (RKLauncher), a metal beak enhancement to gore your enemies (TClock), a magical . . . corpse hand that resurrects stuff (Flyakite), and an interdimensional key that you need to get high with a variety of items like vodka, the moon, a drink, and a bag of rocks (actually not an Aqua-Gero.com item but they changing items represent microsoft Plus!, and the key represents any kind of connection the computer has to the outside world . . . plus drugs, but that's another story).
