I belive that most things you only get by hard work. When you put your all into something, you will get what you want. However, usually, when you try your best and get what you want, you figure out that whatever you want was never so great in the first place.
I belive that hope is worth giving up on. Only recently I have realised that. When you hope for something, the outcome is usually the opposite and the disappointment breaks you. However, I also believe that the mind is like a muscle. You tear it up, it'll heal and become stronger. When you're broken, you have to pick yourself up. Heal yourself and become stronger, it will only benefit you.
I believe there is a god. It doesn't have to be a human, it doesn't have to be male or female, it doesn't have to control everything and everyone. The fact that God is so hidden from us that we can't see, hear, taste, touch or smell whatever god is should not make us all atheist. There's got to be something out there that's going to set us on a path when we die. We can't just pass away and that's it, there has to be something else. In many texts, composors quote that death is only "the beginning" or "another adventure". What is this adventure? It has to be some kind of afterlife. And when there's an afterlife, there is a religion.
I believe the world is only going to becom more corrupt. The politics are all brainless lunatics that only care about money and becoming the best country of them all. To me, the best country is one that cares for their people and doesn't care about losing a fight. The parliament is not realising this and they probably never will. That's what I see as the "Earth's Cancer". The people have done nothing wrong, they've just followed the Government's orders so that they wouldn't be shot or be imprisoned.
I believe that same-sex couples and marriage should not be looked down upon. People are saying that sexuality is not a choice, however, I still think different. Some people are gay, but would rather not have to deal with the s**t that people throw at them, so they get a girlfriend, marry them, whatever. There is some choice involved. I just don't think that someone yould just wake up one morning and think "I'm just gonna be homosexual for the rest of my life". Sure, you can do that, but it wont change you. It might take a decade or two, but by then, you'll probably forget all about it.
I believe vegetarianism is pretty lame. A lot of my friends are vegetarian/vegan and I reapect their beliefs, but I still say meat is for eating. Its nature - we're supposed to eat animals to survive. I would never limit myself to just vegetables, I like my meat. However, I do think that animal cruelty is absolutely disgusting. There's nothing healthy about sticking a chicken in a cage for its life. A kid at my school threw baby birds at a brick wall once. I would've given him the biggest mouthful if he hadn't been twice the size of me and backed up by heaps of kids pretty much the same size. But seriously. What the ******** would make someone do somthing so ******** disgusting. He deserved to be launched into space in a rocket with a hole in the side.
I think your ridiculous to believe god has an immediate gender. To me, God is the son of immediate experience, and I say son only for the stimulative purposes. I respect your opinion though and this is only mine.-Diver
