Hey, I'm so so sorry it's been so long. sweatdrop I've just been so busy and by the end of the day, I'm just too tired to even think about Gaia. sweatdrop Thank you for the kind comment. I'm just trying to take one step at a time. There has been so much going on with my relative being ill plus other dramas with other family members. It's been really physically and emotionally draining for me, especially when you have a family member who's threatening to commit suicide all the time when you don't comply to their demands. sweatdrop I think my iron levels have also dropped again so I will probably have to go back onto iron supplements. I'm also now looking into becoming a veterinary nurse, so that's exciting but also stressful because I have a lot of people relying on me. sweatdrop
How have you been? I hope the last few months have been okay for you. ^_^
Maybe you could make some kind of Mexican potato bake with chili? I think that would taste really good!
Thank you for teaching me that! So it is "golden lights" rather than "gold lights", translated. ^_^ That is interesting about how the Christmas tree is more recent in Mexico. Do you use real trees or fake/plastic ones? We do have real ones here but most people I know use fake trees. 3nodding Yes, I remember you told me you used to be Catholic. I know lots of people who grew up with a religion but are no longer religious. 3nodding
That's a great idea! rofl I have found websites where you replicate what your Rubik's cube looks like and it will tell you which moves to make to solve it but I would really love to understand how to actually solve it by myself. whee
It's okay to know geeky stuff. whee Sometimes it's really handy to know odd facts because it can help you understand other things. Knowing a bit of science, for example, can help you predict outcomes and find solutions for problems much faster. Science is in everything we do - turning on electricity, cooking, exercising, nature, gardening, technology, medicine, etc. so knowing geeky things (which often relate to science) is really just understanding how everything works. ^_^ (Sorry to go on about it but I'm really passionate about science. xp)
I've never been to a restaurant where they serve snails but if I ever do, I will definitely try them! I've been called "gross" and "disgusting" so many times for wanting to try different animals but people are so ignorant. Different parts of the world eat different things. If I'd been raised in another country, it may be normal for me to eat cat or dog. What makes cats and dogs any different to cows or pigs? To me, they are all animals. I would only be worried about eating a venomous animal but that's because of the venom. whee One of my Mum's friends recently went to Thailand with her husband and they ordered what they thought was duck but it didn't taste like duck. When they asked, they found out they were eating monkey!! They were very upset about it. To be honest, I can understand being upset about not getting what you wanted but is it really so awful to try something new? I think people can be very close-minded sometimes. sweatdrop
Do you like the humidity?
Thank you! I hope my asthma will be okay, too. The best thing I can do is strengthen my lungs and I do that by exercising. I still take my puffer with me, just in case, but I'm usually okay. ^_^
I've been pretty okay, thank you! My relative who has cancer went for his first radiation session yesterday so that was hard but we're all trying to be supportive and make jokes and be happy. ^_^
That's really nice. ^_^ I like to send random text messages to my friends to say hello and ask how they are. whee
Okay, that sounds really yummy and a good option for vegetarians. I figured there would be chili - it's Mexican! xp We have a dish called "potato bake" (I'm not sure if you have it there) and it has potatoes, cream, onion, cheese and sometimes a meat (like bacon pieces or prosciutto). It's not very healthy at all but it is very tasty. xp
Oro de Navidad lights are my favourite. 4laugh I thought Christmas was more common in Mexico? I thought most Mexicans were Catholic? Sorry if I'm wrong. sweatdrop
Fair enough. 3nodding I am still trying to master the Rubik's cube but haven't gotten very far! :[
De nada! If everyone were the same, life would be muy aburrido!
I'd like to learn some new recipes. I don't mind basic foods but sometimes it would be nice to cook something a bit more interesting. xp
Your heat is humid? Australia has some humid parts (like parts of Queensland) but where I am, it is a very dry heat. I think humidity is worse for me, though. sweatdrop
Yep, I have asthma but thankfully I don't get it too often and I can usually manage it without having to go to the hospital. x3
