Who am I you ask?
I am the little bits of light you see at night. I'm the twinkle in the stars and the glow behind the moon. I am Nightlight, the Guardian of Courage.
Where did you come from?
A bit of my earlier life as a Guardian is still a bit hazy. After thousands and thousands of years of being with Pitch to make sure he doesn't do anything wrong really messed with my head. All I have to go on is the journals that were discovered while helping about it MiM's study while I was recovering from the Pitch ordeal. (That jerk nearly put my light out for good!)
There's really no record of who I was before Guardianship, but according to the journals; MiM's parents had created me to watch over and protect the last living Tsar Lunanoff from Pitch and his fearling army.
I must have done a good job because MiM, as he likes to be called, is still here today. Though I can't say the same for his parents. According to the history records kept by the Lunar Lamas, They were killed during a raid caused by Pitch. So as a baby, MiM became the youngest Tsar from the Golden Age.
At one point, Pitch tried to attack again, but this time we were able to not only beat him, but I took the Nightmare King head on and with the help of MiM sealed us both away on Earth in a spot where he couldn't do too much damage. It wasn't until a moonbeam came down and sealed itself away inside my spear that Pitch got let out.
I've been helping and working around on the moon recently, but MiM decided it was time to send me back to the field. So I'm back on Earth to direct the beams of star and moon light to make sure that no child has to be scared of the dark.
What do you think of the new Guardians?
I've been getting to know them, and I think they are wonderful. I know they're doing a great job of helping MiM. Oh and one has a dragon! How cool is that? I haven't heard of dragons existing in forever. Oh and then Jack has a lot of fun games he likes to play. There seems to be even more every time I turn around. Pitch hasn't got a prayer with all of us united!
