About

Hey, folks. The name is Griff Morivan. Never been too good with these profile things, so I guess I'll joe go with it as it comes to me.

First and foremost, I am an aspiring film maker. I want so badly to make movies, I can taste it. When I watch films, I can't help but dissect the methodology and the tactics of the cameraman, the direction, the writing, and I would absolutely love to become a film maker myself.

I am a writer and a roleplayer, although less and less so in recent years. While I still enjoy writing stories, I find myself often torn in terms of settings, of where to direct my writing, and how to go about the work. That said, I do want to get back into it more actively, and have gone out of my way to create a few characters for that purpose to interact in the Gaia Mainstream of the Leviathan Stadium and offshoots.

I am a table top gamer, D&D 3.5 being my favorite system. I currently play on Ventrilo, specifically one dedicated specifically to the Spoony Experiment.. We play saturday nights, and I am currently a Paladin. I am also working on reworking the Fallout PnP Fan Game, hoping to balance it and make it more playable overall. If I ever make a links section, I'll link those.

I hope to one day be on TGWTG, because I love their work. It is, overall, better than television and in some cases, better than cinema today. And that pisses me off. Not them, but that the cinema sucks. Specifically, NC, Spoony, Sage, Linkara, Joe, JW, Cinema Snob and offsite, the aspiring contributer, the Discount Bin.

I'm very interested in real world current events, am a centrist independent, left leaning on social issues, and somewhat conservative on political issues. Pro Choice, Pro Voluntary Euthanasia for terminal patients, Pro Marriage Equality, Pro Racial Equality, Pro Marijuana Legalization, Anti Religious Initiatives. I am strongly in support of taxing religious institutions, in support of expanding education, and completely in support of the ongoing fight for LGBT rights in the united states and world wide.

I am an Atheist. I am strongly anti-religious, and although I am an agnostic atheist, I do not accept the concept of any Earth-centric religions on the grounds of their preposterousness. While I am not nearly as versed on other religious texts as I am the bible, I have read the Quran, Torah, Bible (three or four translations now), and the Bhagavad Gītā.

Good luck with the mask thing. You're really going to need it once you get to the rare fish.

Hm. Ten bucks says Shadow Neo is either Random3d or neo_ryan. Regardless, asking if you can come on me is probably not a solid way to cozy up to me.

I love when one of the crew ******** up on a live show or news programme. Like the VT will accidentally go to a camera that's in mid shot or put in the wrong graphic haha!

Cool. A friend of mine recently got a job working with the BBC's Comedy Unit. I officially hate my friend lol! But comedy writing is good. Is writing your only job or is it mostly on the side?

I really want to go freelance and get myself a Panasonic P2, plus cards, drives and Final Cut. Unfortunately, I don't have ten grand kicking about, and I'll be damned if I'm going to the bank for a loan. ******** paying off 10K.
Glad the website has helped. It's helped me and I'm slowly trying to make contacts. I done "work experience" at a sound production studio (I use the words work experience loosely because I learned nothing and they couldn't be bothered with me for the whole week I was there, despite it being something I'd of been into had they given me the chance.). Sadly, there's nothing out there in the way of jobs in Scotland, but I guess that's the way it is everywhere.

Hey there. Seen you around the LD. Noticed you're an aspiring filmmaker. I've recently graduated college and did three years of TV production.

You ever done any work experience? If you're interested you should say to the local production companies who would be happy to let you come on set.

You've probably heard of it, but another good site is www.mandy.com, which deals with production jobs. There's usually PA jobs on there.

I find myself looking beyond the film too. I notice small things like continuity, editing, and where they must have put the ADR/dubbing in. I can't shut off lol.

Tis nice to see someone else who shares an interest in it.
