I just couldn't get into it. So I sort of gave up. But god, it's gorgeous.
I should really finish Kobato. PFT.
Legal Drug starts off super hilarious and really really really shippy. It's the classic Clamp gag-type happiness where you have a shrieky-flailing character with a stoic partner. It gets dark though. It and Holic are really similar, in that it's a store that grants "requests" using workers with supernatural powers.
And also gay. Lots and lots and lots of subtext and dudes kissing. And cross dressing. Fanservice bondage-y covers and all.
It still doesn't really make sense to me. I thought at one point I'd figured out what had happened, but yeah. No. sweatdrop
Gate7 was way over my head. I couldn't follow it, nor could I remember any of the characters. Pretty art, forgettable plot.
Um, Kobato used Wish themes (angels and demons, and Kohaku herself appears a couple of times); I haven't finished it though, so I'm not sure how far the comparison goes. Legal Drug's continuation has Kohaku as a really important character now, because certain characters have... um. Revealed themselves to not be as original to LD's universe as we previously thought... ?
I mostly think of that because of the fact that he was using Clow's glasses, magic seal, and 'signature'. I don't know, I mean, doesn't he have to break the time loop, too? Like Syaoran had to? I always got so confused with that, lol.
But yeah, I'm hoping it's Wish style, but Wish is already being used as a huge theme in a couple of their last works (and ongoing); I think it'll be more tragic, along the lines of Cardcaptor-style reincarnation, where it's definitely not the same person. (And will 'reject' the idea of their predecessor, possibly.)
