Yu. A deserter of the military and one of the best there is. Despite his vivid background and his somewhat cold or shy (to some) attitude, Yu has an extreme concern for those around him. When those around him are in danger, he takes action and intervenes to protect those who need to be protected. Though, some may not think of him the same way, when they first meet him, as he is 6'4" and he has an above average build. Not only that, but he has a mechanical left arm, which he tries to hide, but sooner or later, those around him notice it quickly. He seems to act tough, and even dumb to some, though he is quick to care for his friends and loved ones and he can think on his feet, even through some of the most stressful moments one can endure in their life. Yu has a strong will to live, but if need be, he is ready to give his life to save another. Though, thanks to his instincts and his training, he is able to survive what some may consider lethal or suicide.

Soon after coming to the land of Gaia, and settling in with friends who were equally as strong or even stronger as he was, he was "volunteered" to submit himself to testing of a new drug that the military was producing to create the "Perfect Soldier." After three days of Gene Therapy, he felt as if he was almost reborn. He had amazingly fast reflexes and speed. They had to slow down the recordings just to catch mere glimpses of his newly aquired agility. His strength continued to rise and rise, only stopping until the scientists felt that he had "endured" enough. So far, the test was a success. Until, during a practice mission with the other Subjects, he suffered a heart attack. This will be the side effect of attaining what most humans wish to achieve. He can push his body well beyond it's limits and survive anything, but he only increases his chance of having a severe heart attack because his heart can only take so much stress before giving out on his body, despite his will to continue. Fortunately, his left arm, which he had obtained back in the military, gives him a fighting chance against the side effects of the drug, enabling him to control how much he wishes to push his limits(Though, he has never truly reached his limits, as it is mostly based on his on will to live to accomplish the situation at hand). He continues to improve his mechanical left arm in almost any way he can, but to try and keep a "normal" appearance, he takes away most of the improvements. Of course, however, he never throws away any idea nor improvement, believing that everything has a purpose eventually.

Thanks to his training in the military, with Adray(His mentor), and his Strong sense of Justice, Yu will accomplish whatever he sets his mind to do. To help him along this possibly arduous task, he knows how to use any ranged weapon known and has easily mastered most of them. His personal favorite weapon is an anti-tank cannon which is actually taller than himself. Yet he handles the weapon as if it was a mere toy. The grand cannon can make short work of anything as its shells are almost as large as a tank's shell and thanks to his own personal training with the weapon, he is quick to adjust his aim to his targets and to reload just as quickly as any normal weapon. He tends to carry smaller firearms on him, such as pistols, and he always has a sharpened knife ready to release itself if the situation arises. Many may think that just because he is a ranged specialist, that he has no close quarters combat abilities. Once again, thanks to the Gene Therapy he endured and his training, his reflexes are extremely quick, sharp, and he has the strength to dish out. So far, the only times he has been in near death situations were when he was fighting with another military man, Called simply Zero Three, who is the complete opposite of Yu(Close Ranged specialist, ruthless, has no care for life in general, and fights only for his pleasure and to give himself an edge in the current or a future fight. All in all, Yu is able to take punishment and dish it out many times more, he is a force to be reckoned with when he has his mind set, yet, he is a kind and simple man, who only wishes those around him to have a happy and safe life.
