Hi I'm Geminai! I respond pretty well to Gem. It's a name I've had online since I was 14. I'm 28 now.

I like helping others with information if I can. I like steering them in the right direction. I have hobbies online of making avatars I like both here on Gaia and in other environments.

I have a partner named Brach. I'm practically Married to him, and I married him here on Gaia as soon as that feature went live. We've been together for over 5 years now I think. We lost track after a while. We've been living together offline for over 4 of those years.
The baby paw thing is completely influenced by him. I created the "Baby Paw Dress Up Medal" for the Animal base here on Gaia!
Following that, I also brought "[Animal] Sinful Baby Paw" to Gaia!

Hmm... I guess that's it for now.

The Valentine's storm was so tiny, thankfully. That snow was gone in a matter of days. I think this one's gonna be... Well, it's gonna leave snow for a while. Which bites. The snowbank on my front lawn, where all the snow from my driveway gets pushed, is 4 1/2 feet high. Which sucks. It's gonna be here until May, unless we get super warm weather in April. Not that I even want that. This is too much snow and when it all melts, it's gonna be way too much water.

I dunno what mountains stayed open, or if they called it a season after everything was good and dead-green again. I know at the beginning of the month, they had snowguns going on Killington, but I think that was for one more weekend. Maybe the lucky resorts will make good money -- the ones that were holding out for a couple more weekends before spring started. We'll see, though!

I haven't gone out plowing in a few years now. I think the last time I went, was the year I got carbon monoxide poisoning. The truck I was in wound up with an exhaust leak, and I got too sick to finish that season. That was juuuust after I came home from Michigan -- we got dumped on as I was coming back. Got home Valentine's day that year, to three foot of snow. Talk about total suckage. Plowing can be a fun thing sometimes. 'Specially with that fluffy snow and when you hit it just right and it pops up like a snow cloud. Honestly, that was my favorite part. Other than that, it's a lot of long hours sitting behind a wheel and going back and forth.

I have a brother that does deliveries up that way. I don't quite think it's Sugarbush or Mad River, but I know he drives a good ways up into VT. He works for Bakers Distribution Company. Or whatever it's called. He's a beer guy. He spends the ski season real busy, coz those skiers like their beer. Haha. It'll be interesting to see what's on the ground after everything stops falling. I'm hoping we're coming to the slow-down point now, though I just stepped outside for a couple minutes to snap some photos for a friend who was like 'Y'all getting snow?' at me.

Yeah, we got a lot. cat_lol

I won't go out in a vehicle in this stuff. Last winter, I learned a lesson. I'd gone out with my dad, a couple family friends. We were down in Manchester area, and got into a huge accident. Thankfully no one was hurt to the point where anything was deadly. I got the worst of the injuries, sitting in the backseat of a quad cab pick-up truck. When the weather's gross, I stay inside. Especially when it's gross like this. It's just super dangerous to try your luck, coz you don't know what's under all that snow that hasn't been cleaned up yet. Unfortunately for us last year, it was black ice.

We've been plowed out now three times, I believe. It's possible it's been 4, I'd have to ask my own father when he gets back from -- whattayakno, plowing. cat_rofl Though, he's out helping a friend right now, and it's the first time he's gone out today. The roads are so horrible! I remember when I used to go out with my dad to plow, how long some of those days could be. We've had 48 hour storms before, where you're OUT for that long. It's really exhausting. I don't miss that job -- the pay, yes. But the work is tiring and it really beats up your body.

I'm way down south, in Rutland. I think it started to die down a little bit here, but it's been super super windy, and we've had a few bits of white-out conditions. I'm hoping that this blizzarding bit stops really soon, coz I know it's going to take HOURS to shovel people out later on. When I got up this afternoon (since I was up all night storm tracking), I think we had something like six inches? I know that when I'd gone to bed, there was just a dusting, and I'd thought that maybe it was just gonna be a little storm. Hoooboy, was I ever wrong! Being just shy of the base of the road that takes you up Killington way, I feel like we're gonna get hammered more. I'm in the valley. cat_emo
