The robin chirps into
the cold wind carrying the bursts
of oranges and reds

and some yellow, too, swirling
and dancing in the
peach evening sky

When she takes flight
they do too and they gather
around her as she
soars higher into

the blue expanse, the
leaves trailing behind her as
she heads south for winter
