I don't think I ever gave the tutorial more than a passing glance! XD To this day, I somehow figure out how the game works through trial and error, jeje.

You're referring to Heralds of Chaos, I take it? If so, factions warring in a land of uncertainty--that certainly sounds like civilization. XD Which faction did you choose, anyway (of Avalon, dragons, or demons)?

Je, you do have a leg-up over those students from the States without any, at the least. They say it takes two years to assimilate an accent; I expect you'll be speaking proper, British English come graduation? XD

Ceasing education and entering the workforce as early as tenth grade?! But then, I imagine there are some students who either want to or are pressured to work more hands-on jobs after graduating. At any rate, you have contacts in the U.K., then? That should help. 3nodding

I probably got too much into detail, my apologies. sweatdrop The debt and job market parts, though, don't come until after graduation, and furthermore, there's as much fun and exploration as there is responsibility in university. emotion_yatta I'm curious how the higher education system compares in the U.K., too question I mean, it's bound to differ from the education system of the States, no?

As they say, "it gets better". But then, you do have to be realistic. I hope I'm not sounding grim or discouraging, and take this with a grain of salt--I say this as someone called a pessimist by this who know me (I'm realist, but they think otherwise...), but it isn't all roses and teddy bears. Housemates/roommates can become intolerable, classes can be pressuring (especially if it's the quarter system and it's a semester's worth of information and work crammed into 10 weeks scream ), finding work to keep up with high tuition can be challenging at best, facing the imminent threats of insurmountable debt & an unjust & ageist job market is disheartening, and in the end, you have to wonder if what you want to do (in terms of love, a career, a home, etc.) is really satisfying or realistic...But then, such is the cold human condition, right?

As for linguistics, welcome to the rabbit hole, my friend! XD You do have a good start, though. Working towards that advanced French SAT takes foresight and ambition, which are admirable. 3nodding And French is a good language, a respected international tongue that can take you many places. 3nodding
