I am in love!! emotion_kirakira
yum_tea Name's Katie Rose.
I live in the stunningly beautiful high desert of the Central Oregon region, surrounded by juniper, sage brush, cedar pines and magpies. I am mommy to a ridiculously adorable little boy and wife to a wonderful, loving and supportive husband. I detest housework and any sort of domesticity, although I do really like to get my hands dirty working in the yard. The previous tenants left a mess of weeds and thatch, but it's starting to somewhat resemble a lawn now. I crush up eggs and bury banana peels in the small flower bed in the mornings, to encourage growth and discourage slugs. Flower stems are starting to poke their way out of the soil now, and I'm looking forward to blossoms next spring.
I am a (mostly) full-time student. I have an adorable tuxedo kitty, named Kirito, that we adopted from our local humane society, and a brand new kitten we called Bella...until we realized he's a fella; his new name is Benjie. I am studying to be a licensed Child Life Specialist, to work overseas in a therapeutic capacity at pediatric hospitals or pediatric units in war torn countries. I am pursuing a master's in Social Work for Child Welfare Education. In the mean time, I write stories that likely won't be published, at least not to critical or commercial acclaim.
I am addicted to literature, videogames, & caffeine. And sadly Pinterest boards.
