~ . * ~ The Roleplays We Suggest ~ * . ~

Status : Need members / Genre : Fantasy/War

The continent's at war. The Northern lands of Alkarenor must beat back the invading Southern armies. The elves wait in the west, uninformed of the attack, but war will touch their borders soon. Valandil leads the Saurenor armies forth, mercilessly slaughtering the villagers beneath him as he goes to gain his people a land that they can be proud of, even at the cost of every other person in the falling kingdom's life.

Status: Nearly closed / Genre : Fantasy/Horror

There's talk of a castle that flies above the world itself, and inside, a ghost girl locked away. It only sets itself upon the ground once every few months, and Talis is not going to miss the opportunity to see what's inside it. Among the victims that his fate will surely be thrust upon are Kie and Toukutarou, two kids from a small village near the landing site, one with powers of healing, the other with an inferiority complex from too much self abuse. The others are Masao and Taille, assassins with an important object that they don't actually know how to use. The five of them are finding it hard to get along, but they say that friendships build quickly when fighting for one's life...

~ . * ~ Things to Know ~ * . ~

The board is seperated into categories. The forum Roleplaying OOC, Issues, and Concerns is where you check to sign up for open RPs that require you to audition and talk to the author of the setting. For those of you placing settings, make sure you put your extra information for your world in this subforum!

Also, a lot of us here at the guild have instant messengers--in the general discussion subforum, there is a topic called "Contact" which has a few of our IMs on it. If you don't have a problem talking to us at the guild through quick manner, then please, place your contact here. It would help the VC, DeathAngelSeth, particularly if she had more people's instant messenger contact.

The contest has been postponed, but we are working on it! There will be cash prizes for the winners, and perhaps even a special gift! It's hard to vote when nobody is keeping up--that is, of the crew and captains, except one or two. We don't have much of a committee right now. If you happen to have read all of the board, or even just all of the settings, you should go vote in General Discussion so we know what you think.

Donate to the mule account! If you want to help us give out prizes, or even help the mule account just all-around look better, donation items are a great way to do it! If you happen to have items sitting in your inventory that are rarely, if ever, used, this is a good place to put 'em, folks. We, as the guild, want our guild account to look spiffy, right? Well, put a little bit of yourself into him. He wants to look like that picture that's settled over his actual avatar. Just look at his equip list to figure out what he has and doesn't have so you can help out!

Ben my Buddy Bets Badly
Chain

I like to play poker with my buddy Ben
Cuz it's easy to win when he's up way past ten
His bluffs are all obvious and he brings much money
Sometimes we've played 'til the room is all sunny

The Man in the Moon
Ahnya

He took my hand
Smiled into my eyes
Reminded me of summer sand
and long lost fireflies

We sat down
In the airport waiting room
Deafened by the sound
suffocated by the Man in the Moon

His skin was smooth
His eyes centuries old
His voice designed to soothe
Crisp, warm, but cold

I stared as he spoke
could he actually be real?
Was he a memory in living smoke
Not solid enough to feel

He told me of where he'd been
The way early sunbeams curled
I guess it's easy to see them
When you're high above the world

He told me of the people
In lands unknown to me
He said there was no evil
But, some things I can't believe

He swore the world was endless
And all that was, was mine
Sincerely, his voice wept this
A modern Father Time

Slowly rapid words hushed
And faded into scars
He looked up, slightly flushed
His eyes sparkling stars

But silent I stayed
Caustically unforgiving
Too blinded by the game I'd played
To see what I was missing

As he walked away
My heart filled with doom
Oh to be forgotten today
By the Man in the Moon.
