Now that I have that out of my system, and sounded like a right old clown, I shall continue. I sound like a bit of a nerd really, hmm, I honestly not.

I am a 22 year old Nursing student at the University of Southern Queensland here in Australia. I have one semester to go and I am going to be fully registered. I currently work in an Acute Medical/Stroke ward at my local private hospital as an assisstant in nursing. I also work shifts on the oncology ward, so yes, just because I act stupid, does not mean I am.
It's great, I love it. Get lots of hands on practise with wounds, medications and all the nasty stuff that make most people squeamish. While all this is good and well, I have a little reason to complain about the university education system. No where near enough practical skills.
BRING BACK THE OLD WAYS I SAY (stop sending out inexperienced nurses into the field!) and get me out of this country hole! smilies/icon_gonk.gif
While I'm (almost) a nurse, I am also doing a degree in German language. Sucker for punishment me thinks.

Though I complain about the state of my town, it's really not that bad. I live in a little place in Australia called Toowoomba. It's not too bad, just a little backwards. It's a small place with not much to do, but it's home.

I'm also fluent in the violin, bass guitar and the fife.
OK...maybe I am a nerd afterall.

Yeh its amazing what humour can do. I dont get to help much considering as im not qualified and most of the work ive dont had been more like a voluntary hobby in the name of research lol still i fully intend on joining Patch Adams on one of his visits in the future although it most likely wont be for a few years that is i won't find the time until I finish university lol. my brother wants to be a doctor so im hoping he will employ a few uplifting techniques ive gathered from various doctors and/or clowns. in the end any work with children or any other living thing in terms of healing is worth while and its great that u can be apart of that

wow im impressed with the whole children's hospital thing thats amazing. i did some research in childrens hospitals so its huge for me lol. i mainly researched humour and its effects on recovery. i actually had a cread interview with Dr. Hunter 'Patch' Adams if you've heard of him.
