Hahaha, yeah XD
My consolation prize with the lack of Megumi in anime is the fact that Ishida Akira still pops up randomly. I don't care if he plays mostly jerk characters, he's just so good at it. : D
I miss the days when her voice would pop up in anime, but honestly good for her that she landed roles in two of the longest running series ever made (Pocket Monsters and Detective Conan).
And you just say that cuz you know he's my favorite :3
I love how the characters know exactly what's coming before they even ask by the time Revolution rolled around.
Sore wa himitsu desu! ^^

A lot of old series from the 90s had some pretty lame themes, but Hayashibara Megumi is just so pro, I think. Give a Reason and the Try themes were such good songs, they really carry over her talent even nowadays. ^^
I felt it was risky to include the talking stuffed animal if they wanted to reach new fans, but it definitely felt like they were playing to oldschool fans mostly. Especially with the inclusion of Naga Nama and plugging in the NEXT theme song during the final epic battle. (I cried with joy a little when Give a Reason started playing, lol.)
It's a matter of marketing, I imagine. Some shows just get better advertising, whether they deserve it or not.
That just makes it our job to spread the word. ^^
