Born into a socialite family in Coast City, Elizabeth Ashworth was pampered throughout her childhood, imparting her with an acute sense of entitlement and a larger than life ego, however fragile.
At an early age her parents had already put her through specialized modeling training, taking the necessary steps in order to prepare her for a future career. Their philosophy being of the Machivellian ilk, her parents' expectations put young Elizabeth under a great deal of pressure. Knowing her parents' love came with conditions, she aimed higher, strove harder, viewing anyone and anything as a challenge to be won over in exchange for their approval.
As a result, the feelings of inadequacy she kept buried along with her resentment caused her to develop a vindictive streak in her personality as she grew older. During the rise of her fame, models in Coast City began to disappear altogether while Elizabeth continued moving up the ranks.
By the time she was graced the opportunity to participate in a Gotham City pageant for a contract with Macabre Industries, most of her competition had been conveniently 'unavailable.'
Elizabeth was quick to win over the heart of the audience, instantly garnering Desdemona's approval. She signed the contract, becoming the face of Macabre's new line of products.
Fame and fortune was nothing new to Elizabeth, but it was the adoration she received in heaps that seemed to almost compensate for the love she never felt from her parents.
Time passed, and it seemed she finally had everything one could hope to obtain in one lifetime, though soon after her tour in Metropolis, tragedy struck. The breaks in her limo mysteriously malfunctioned, resulting in a car accident that left half of her body paralyzed and heavily scarred.
The aftermath left Elizabeth in an almost catatonic state of self loathing. Luckily for her, Crane, being the generous woman she was, had been there to lend a helping hand. Exploiting her current state of mind, she made Elizabeth an offer, one that would guarantee long lasting beauty. And what's more, power of another, more interesting variety. Power that would lead her down an even darker path.
With nothing to lose, and all too willing to take Crane up on what she was promising, Elizabeth gave the woman her consent, and underwent an experimental procedure conducted by one of Crane's confidants.
With the help of their genius, some stolen materials from Wayne Tech and LexCorp, Elizabeth's face was reconstructed, along with the rest of her body. Despite her perfect appearance, Elizabeth's internal make-up is far from human now. She's a cyborg, complete with computer-like brain features, superior strength, and a yearning for vengeance like never before.
Soo.. as you may have guessed, I've shut down Huntress / Helena. I've got my reasons. one being since she's a darker/gloomy character it actually makes me gloomy. I'm trying to avoid those kind of feelings. So I've thrown myself back into my happier / cherrier Zatanna. c:
I was kidding my dear. You do whatever you like with the stuff. See the black and red grill on my mask? Checkmate Rematch. 22 billion by itself. Once I give something to someone, they can do with it as they please.
