About

Greetings to everyone that pays a visit to my page. :3 If you want to know more about the real me, you'll have to add me on myspace...hehe. Also, check out my artwork on Deviantart... http://eldarwen-half-elven.deviantart.com/

Eldarwen is my online name on several places. Get bored, look me up. smilies/icon_razz.gif

Now, a bit about myself:

- I am a Christian. If you have a problem with that at all, don't flame me and don't try to add me. I'm a very tolerant person, but I won't befriend someone that is intolerant of that.

- I am a conservative. That does not mean I am a Republican. As with the above, if you can't tolerate that, leave me be.

- I am 25. I'm not old. I'm not truly young like several on here.

- I tolerate only intelligent and well-written conversation. The most text speak I'll use online is a few emotes and "lol" and similar...

- Other than the above, I'll talk to just about anyone. Feel free to befriend me.

hey Elwen, It's me. Krin.
I was wondering about the TOS rules.
How many offenses does It take to ban a user, and for how long?
How many does It take for a permanent ban?
Please tell me, because I know you've gone through this before.

I agree with you there, it's best to learn about something before you start pointing fingers. Did you know that christmas wasn't set as that day because it was the day Jesus was born? They didn't keep records back then so we don't really know the exact date or month he was born, all we know is that is was during the summer as the seasons are reversed on the other side of the world (winter is summer and vice versa). The reason it was set for that day as a christian holiday had to do with the foundation of the holy roman empire, it was set up as a holiday occurring around the same time as a traditional roman holiday that celebrated the pagan gods. Later on some traditions of another culture's Yule tradition would be incorporated. My ancestors, the Norwegians, celebrated a 12 day feast at the end of the year as a celebration of the coming of the warmer season. They would hold feasts of parties with eating, burning of the yule log and they would bring in evergreens and holly to bring the green indoors (these plants were highly revered as they stayed green all year long) England, for a time, outlawed it, in fact it was (like mardi gras, lent etc.) considered a catholic holiday and so when the pilgrim settlers arrived here in the Americas they abolished the celebration of Christmas for it being a catholic holiday (and because back then Christmas celebrations were more about drunken parties and not really family ordeals) in fact Christmas wasn't a family affair until the Victorian era when it was brought into trend and has stuck with us ever since.

Yeah, I know what you mean... The thing that pisses me off is that I read some stuff where several people have actually been saying that Japan deserved this and it was payback for Pearl Harbor? WTF? Pearl harbor? That was like 70 years ago.. That's like saying a bunch of innocent people deserved to die because of something that happened back when we were at war with them. I mean the guys are our allies now and are a completely different country than they were back when they were Imperial Japan, and we're not supposed to help them because of Pearl Harbor? Geez... of course, I heard the same kinds of people around here in churches (including a preacher) about New Orleans back after Katrina hit because of "Mardi Gras". Saying that it was an evil and wicked practice and blah blah blah. Of course, I'm quite certain these backwoods retards are also blissfully naive to the fact that it's a CATHOLIC holiday, and therefore a CHRISTIAN holiday... then again, if you trace the roots of Christmas to what really took place back during that time of the year, then you'd realize not everything is perfect. But I'm not bashing christmas, I'm just saying that alot of things about it are misconceptions.. namely its origins. But anyway I don't know how we got on the subject of Christmas from talking about Japan and I'm probably boring you, I tend to ramble quite a bit, sorry lol.

I'm good, sorry for the delay there, cpu trouble. I'm back living with my mom. I'm pretty happy, my girl and I have been together for a year and four months now! I'm drawing unemployment right now, I got fired from my last job back in January.
