I believe you! My military friend/work colleague owned Amazing Spider-Man #1, Amazing Fantasy #15, and every other ASM trough 1991 (he bought them at a garage sale for cheap), before losing them in a British warehouse fire.

Yes, it was funny watching Deadpool wearing lingerie (C/D #23) and admiring Thor's manhood (a mural in the Fixer's pool in C/D #12) back in the Cable/Deadpool series. HAHAHAHA.

I forgot: Ares is dead, too, split literally in two by The Sentry in the Siege series.

Pick up those stories pronto. They dealt with more heavy-hitters like Morgana le Fey, Doctor Doom, and Molecule Man (the current Kang storyline in Avengers is boring me).
