Okay, putting this old account to some use then. Call me Shahzad. It's Persian for "Prince". "Duzd" is "Assassin" or "Thief". Hence, I am the Prince of Thieves.

At least, that's the character's name. Anyway, this is mostly for roleplaying in a guild, so... yep.

I'm not going to disagree with my last post. I just want to say that I also notice the economic aspect of this as well. As much as Gaia needs money to operate (Millions of dollars monthly, or something like that...), and as much as the Cash Shop and sponsors pay for that, I just wish they were a tad less... intrusive. And I also wish that Gaia was still more "Anime/Fantasy/RP" than "Teen Hangout!" But hey... I guess nothing's as good as you remember.

When I said "Goodbye, Gaia! I'll miss you," I had no idea of the truth of those words. I remember coming on Gaia when it was an Anime/Videogame/Fantasy Roleplay site. I remember the bright colors, cheery attitude, and general feel. Sure, I wasn't around to remember the birth of Gaia, but I've been here a few years now, about three at this time. I remember Gaia's steady decline from the fun-loving place I loved. But I just shrugged it off and ignored it. I watched as Gaia began to appear as a business, rather than the site I fell in love with. It ate my insides, but I tried not to let it get to me. As it went from what it was to this "hangout," it saddened me. There were times I just wanted to leave. But I've stayed. I have friends here, and there's still some of the "good old days" left. Sure, things were harder. I remember when servers would go down, I remember that these "monthly collectables" were once donation items. I know Gaia changed for a reason, but I still can't shake the feeling that a little part of it died, rather than changed. I know that probably nobody will read this, but I just had to get this out there. I just hope that, maybe, someone will stumble across this old, abandoned page and see what I've left here. Just maybe, they'll see what this site gave up in the layout of this old Gaian's profile and in the words I've typed.
