BSAA Piers Nivans Report | 11/22/2013 11:38 am
BSAA Piers Nivans
The long narrow hallways of the active facility drove the sniper insane with how many turns and exits there were, but the distant clacking of shoes on tile left him holding his breath and clutching his switchblade. He hid against a wall, ready to attack who or whatever was just about to walk in on him, but the soldier soon dropped his guard and let out a sigh of relief at the sound of Annette's voice. "Annette!" Piers whispered, placing a gloved finger over his lips to warn her that they were still in danger even if they managed to make it out of the holding cell. "You did great." The sniper kept his tone low and gave the woman a smile and nod, very pleased with all that she had managed to do. "When this is all over with drinks are on me, alright? But right now we need to find ourselves some proper first aid and get a move on. This place is crawling with people we don't want to run into." He hadn't forgotten about either of their bullet wounds, especially his own since he could hardly his forearm, let alone move it. Boy, was it going to be a pain in the a** to wield his rifle or even a pistol.

Piers let out a shaky breath and ran a hand through his unkempt hair as his body began to grow flushed and the room he was in felt like it was shrinking by the second. The soldier knew he wasn't claustrophobic in any way, shape or form, but the reality of this situation was like nails on chalkboard. He'd lost his rifle back in the woods where he and Annette were shot leaving the two with only a pistol and switchblade to protect them in a facility containing God knows what. Not to mention his arm was completely messed up from the shot he'd taken and they were still being hunted down. Still, beyond the depressing reality of this all, Piers did still have his radio working and intact but they'd have to get out of this facility first to make call for backup since all coms were jammed. "Alright, just gotta wait and--" Piers' train of thought ceased when he saw the wall to the right of him began to open. The sniper jumped to his feet and looked around the room for a sign of a camera of some sort, knowing that they'd have one hidden somewhere. Instead of yelling and drawing attention to himself Piers made a motion with his hands that told Annette--if she was the one who did this--to get moving. Without wasting another second the soldier ran out the room and pulled his switchblade out as he began to search for a way out of the holding cell area.

The cramped room Piers was stuck in fell into complete silence as he awaited in anticipation for Annette's return or a hidden door to open up and give him a chance to escape--but Piers wasn't even certain if Annette would be able to pinpoint the control room for the holding cells. This facility had to be huge and filled with room after room, and what would be waiting for them in each of those rooms left the sniper feeling regretful for sending Annette out there alone. "Dammit." Piers muttered as he impatiently tapped his fingers against the floor and only hoped that Annette was safe.

"Alright, stay safe." Piers whispered as his arms fell back to his side and his eyes were kept glued to the air duct, watching as Annette crawled further into it and soon disappeared. Staring at it a moment longer the sniper let out a heavy sigh and slouched against one of the bare walls as his mind began to wonder. During all his missions he never faced something as nerve wracking as this. Being chased by BOW's was one thing, but to be chased and almost killed by an unknown person was something Piers wasn't used to. And by the looks of it, whoever this was knew what they were doing. Piers gave off a visible shudder and shook his head to clear his mind of that nasty thought. Right now he needed to focus on getting out of here and patching Annette and himself up properly before heading out. The gaping bullet wound on his forearm was already turning an angry red, and last thing he needed on top of all of this was an infection.
