History

Gabriel, once a vampire, woke up with needles and tubes taped to his body. Everything was a blur, but he could hear men talking to him. He just finished getting a heart transplant and a blood transfusion.
A large scar was marked over his chest. They explained to Gabriel that they needed to use a special type of blade to keep the skin from healing rapidly. They also explained how he was found dead, with a stake in his heart.. They had little time to salvage his body before he turned to ash. There was no better time to conduct their experiment than now.
With Gabriel dying and a dead and decapitated patient next to him, they acted fast.
Dragon's blood healed wounds and the new heart revived his body. He felt warm. Something he hadn't felt in hundreds of years.
When he asked what had happened, the doctors told him he had died, which wasn't a shock to Gabriel because he had been a vampire until just moments ago. They explained the stake to his heart and the process they went through to revive him.
Gabriel sat up and his fingers skimmed over the large scar on his chest. That's when he noticed his nails. They were longer, like claws. To think, he was a vampire before all of this?
When asked for his name, Gabriel answered, "I don't know..."
