Meet Defy. He is an assassin. Not exactly his first choice for a career, but it's grown on him. Especially since he met Miss Ginger Ice (Ginger for short). They work for the same group, and, occasionally, they work on cases together. He wasn't sure what to think of her at first, but it wasn't long before they became good friends. Now, he wants to be more than friends...He's just not sure how to tell her. A man, as strong and determined as him, can't tell a girl he loves her. Needless to say, the situation annoys him. However, he is content to stay friends until he finds a way to express his love.
On the flip side of the coin is his younger sister, Mizuki. She's a good girl, if not a little misguided. She greatly admires her brother. This is most likely because their parents were murdered when they were young, and Defy has taken care of his little sister ever since. She wants to be like him so that she can take revenge for their parents unresolved murder. He continually tries to convince her that it will solve nothing, but she will not be swayed. He can only hope that she will grow out of this obsession with revenge. Ginger treats her like a sister and Defy is hoping that she can help him move Mizuki away from her goal of becoming an assassin.
To make things even more complicated, Defy also has a friend by the name of Emmet. Defy treats him as a little brother, and Emmet couldn't be happier about it...Unless Defy were to see him as more than a friend. Defy knows that Emmet means well. He cares for Emmet very much, and like his sister, tries to shield him from the dangers of the world. He would never let anything bad happen to Emmet or Mizuki. However, Emmet has a twin brother...and he is not too thrilled about the company Emmet keeps. The brother's name is Ingo and he does not approve of Defy at all. He only allows Emmet to be around Defy because Emmet cares for him so much. Still, if Defy were to ever be the cause of any trouble or harm coming to Emmet...Ingo may not take it well.
