Damn that might get me back into the game again, I basically lost faith in WoT after the whole fantasy waffentragger line and making the default colour of Japan dark green instead of the starting tan cause the Russians complained about it lol

yeah, it's not even swedes themselves as people who are hated, it's more their language.

although the only thing what really gets to me, really pisses me off still, is when you're working (this happened to me) and finnish-swedish people march in, keep coming ask you for something in swedish, just assuming you're going to serve them in swedish, although we're in Finland and they can speak finnish fluently themselves.

The hate comes from history. you know, Finland was not only under Russia's power but also Sweden's power.

Students are still forced to learn swedish throughout school years. Many hate it, and to rebel it, many don't learn it well on purpose. They don't even bother with it, and go through it with the lowest grades. Most of my school mates did that. I did that, too. It's silly, really. :p

Then there's not so serious-hate, more like competition whenever it comes to sports. Finnish guy won and they asked a norwegian man how he felt about it, and he said it's all good, as long as Sweden didn't win. And it's the same in Finland :p Anyone else can win as long as it's not Sweden, or Russia. Norway dislikes Sweden like Finland does.

Not all people are against swedes, I mean there are many Finn-Swedish families. Finnish-Swedish people tend to stick to themselves. They're even more disliked than Swedes themselves, because they mix Finnish and Swedish language together and it sounds incredibly stupid.

buuuut yeah, I don't think it's as malevolent as it used to be. Everyone's getting more open-minded. And I think Sweden is viewed more like a brother country more than an enemy now.
