Well I've written high fantasy myself, mostly as background for my character in my housemate Dungeons and Dragon campaigns. So its my preferred reading and setting for the most part though I do rather enjoy your current 18+ stories (especially the Squeak story due to its uncanny resemble to one of my own experiences). I see some real potential for you to try some alternative locations and scenarios, perhaps a public place or a tent, also the choice of partner(s) could be non human etc,
Obviously I can't go into too much detail in the comments.
