Poem I wrote:

My heart dies like the leaves that fall from a tree
I hate that I still watch the one tree fall down the hill.
As time passes by, my thoughts of you never fade away.
I hate...
That I still think of you.
In the fall in the winter
As the leaves fall from the trees.
As the snow hit's the ground for the first time.
I watch the leaves fall, like my heart every day
The day you walked away
I could not bare the weight
of a life without you
So I drown in the sea of leaves
And walk in the winter storm that is my heart
I was never a perfect man
But I wanted to be for you.
Some say "Sometimes they come back"
but in this case, my dream was never meant to come true.
With every bird within the flock
I see your face.
And I love how no one could ever compare to you
Some say it's better to love than to have not loved at all.
So I walk alone trying to find the way into your arms again
Until that wonderful day
I rot alone, waiting, fighting crying, dying.
on that one tree hill.
