Like the rest of the world you mean? I think we are one of the only countries in the world that has a two tiered school system that trains people in two completely different ways. Either way I prefer having the practical skills. Some of the guys who I've worked with know a s**t load about different technologies, but I've done a lot more application development than they have. Though they've probably done more application development at the insurance company because they have longer work terms.

I don't particularly want a car because of all of the expanses associated with it. I have a while to figure it all out though...I'll come up with something eventually.

Yeah. I get no time off except for randoms weeks in between tasks. When I start full time at the insurance place after I'm done school (they did offer me a job) I will get 2 weeks of vacation. Well...that's more than I get right now. Or is it...I've never actually calculated how the random weeks work out in between school stuff.

Quebec is bigger than almost all of Europe. Most of it is trees and ice, but geographically speaking it's almost as big as Europe. That is...if you (like myself) consider Russia part of Asia. If you don't then Europe is the biggest continent on the planet.
Eh, Montreal sounds about right. A lot of English speaking folks there. It's people from the smaller towns in Quebec that you need to watch out for. Those bastards want Quebec to be it's own country. If that happened than the newly formed country would collapse in on itself faster than you can say "You all are ******** stupid".

That aside, I start back at school tomorrow! Lets get this terrible ******** party started!

Yup, it had a cavity and the dentist fixed it. Although it took a while even after that for the pain to go away.. I hope your mums teeth are better too?

Yes done done. Only 3 years of schooling. Well...almost 4 with the co-op stuff, but yeah. Here we have University and College...University is the more theory, lectures, blah blah blah boring as hell stuff where super smart people go to:
a) get a job that you need to prove you are smart for(Doctors)
b) get a job that someone with a college diploma can get, but you start at a higher pay rate(What I do falls here)
c) get a useless degree and go to college to get skills for the real world (Anything related to art)
College is more hands on stuff, so you learn a lot more by doing instead of reading about how to do. This is why I don't often need to study for my exams so much because 90% of what I'm taught I actually have to do and that makes it stick a lot better than just reading about it. Unfortunately I have now developed the problem where being shown how to do something is almost useless to me unless it is followed immediately by me doing it. I can't retain instructions for how to do tasks at work unless I actually do them, which really pisses some people off. Oh well. Once I do it I stop bugging them about it.

Moving out would be the plan. It's kind of an extremely large pain in the a**. The downtown core in my city is setup awful, so living downtown isn't exactly ideal. There kinda is just housing and bars and that's it...not much of the essential living type stuff. And living outside of the downtown area means I'm stuck using our god awful public transit system (also doesn't have proper infrastructure), so I can't really win no matter what I do. Also having my own car would make me too poor to live on my own because I haven't been driving long enough and insurance companies are greedy bastards in this country. Though I work for one, so that's not always a bad thing...But yeah...I'm not really sure what I'm going to do on my own. At least I'll get to be fully alone for most of the time, which is preferable.

And that is the other reason why I'm done and you aren't. I haven't had a summer off since first year. xd
Oh well. At least you are enjoying the time off. That's cool that you are helping someone get their legs in Denmark. I bet all that English helps wink
Oh neat-o. Someone from Canada. Do you know what Province they are from? (Provinces are divisions within the country to make it easier for governing bodies to control certain populations of people. They are bigger than most countries in Europe [geographically, not by population][This really should have been it's own sentence, but I don't want to remove the brackets]).

Very. My lungs aren't free floating anymore. Anytime my chest moves my lungs feel it. Anytime my lungs move, my chest feels it. I'm like a fudging robot who's inner pieces are all connected.

Pretty good. Been on a co-op work term with the insurance company again. Finish up in August for my last semester in school which starts in September. Looking forward to being done. What have you been up to lately?

Yeah it would be fun. But most of them have left Gaia or just don't hang out here anymore. Which sucks. But sometimes It's good to see them now and then, like a do with you.

Wait, you were 12 years old when we first met you in the funhouse? gonk I didn't realize you were so young. That's about the same age that Neko was when he joined Gaia too.
My gosh I can't believe it's already flown by and your now in College studying. gonk
The funhouse will always have special meanings and memories to many people. If people go back and read posts. There's love, laughter, sadness, happiness, arguments. All rolled into one. 3nodding

So fun thing, apparently the chemicals stop bonding after a little bit.
I was in the to see the doctors to make sure everything inside was fine and they explained that the chemical is still there, but no longer binds the lungs to the chest.

So that raises the question of why are my lungs still stuck to my chest? Apparently the scar tissue from the surgery has formed between my lung and the chest cavity, which is why they are now fused.
So gross, but so cool.

Yes. That is exactly how I describe it to other people.
In actual fact they are chemical bound to the inside of my chest. Not the entire lung...most of it though.

Wow. That's one heck of a long course. So if it's 2 years of one , 3 years of the other, and one internship, then that's about 6 years all up. How far are you? gonk

2007 was when I met a lot of you guys. That's like 7 years ago, and so yes a lot of you were teens then and now all grown up. Amazing how time flies uh? rofl

You know what the really ******** weird thing is? I do literally everything but height and weight in metric. For some god damn unknown reason when I was a kid they did my height and weight in imperial and because of that I've never transitioned over. Plus mother ******** scales in this country don't display kilograms! scream

But yeah...my lungs are glued to my chest inside now. woo~

I don't get to talk to any of you guys any more. Seems like all the older friends I had are all going their own way very slowly..
