About Me
Ah, the about me section. What to put here, age, sex, location? I don't think so, and here's why: To most of you, I am nothing more than an anonymous person online. Therefor, I am ageless, and without location nor destination. I also won't tell you my real name, it's not relevant. If you ask, I'll say Cat. It's not the name my parents gave me, but it's who I am, and that means more than anything you're likely to find on a birth certificate. Trivial things like this, aren't things you need to know to be my friend, because it's thing more like the following that make me who I am.I play electric guitar, unplugged. The feel of the strings often means more to me than how I sound.
I like the rain, it makes me feel like myself in a way nothing else can, which is far better and much more rare than being dry.
I love California. It's not always where I live, but it will always be my home.
Music courses through my veins, and it's thicker to me than blood. Without it, I wouldn't recognize myself. When I am lost, or when words evade me, I quote a song to myself every time.
I am the kind of person who believes in aliens and the Paul is Dead conspiracy, I don't have a Facebook because I don't want to be tracked so easily by the government. I may be paranoid, but I'm okay with that.
In addition to being a punk-rocker, I am a full fledged geek. I carry with me at all times a Bag Of Holding and a d20, I have "Still Alive" on my iPod and I tell bad physics jokes. I have skater days, I have goth days, emo days and normal days, so don't try to label me. I am what I am.
My favorite band is Blink 182 and I could care less what you think about them, I am unashamed to know every word, to every song they ever wrote or covered.
I'm offensive at times, I can be harsh, bad-tempered and judgmental, because I'm human. If you can deal with my imperfections I will be there to have your back at any given time.
I always answer PMs, regardless if they are from someone I know in person, or someone I met in Shallow Sea. My virtual friends mean the world to me. I can't and won't always donate gold, but I will always donate time. It may sound corny, but if you need help, be it a listening ear from someone you'll never see face to face or be it someone to fill in on a crew, I'm there for you. I'm nearing 300 friends on gaia, and all of you are well loved and accounted for.
I'm a cynic as well as a hopeless romantic. It may be contradictory but I have no intentions of changing who I am for anyone, so please don't even try.
Those facts don't sum up who I am, but they are pieces of myself that I am willing to share with whoever should stumble upon this profile. So thank you for reading. I would like to finish with a quote from a song: "Call me back when word is that she's gone. Cat Like Thief, she stole air from my lungs."
