I just notice you mentioning your left side is shorter than your right side... Does that make you a imbalanced person? Teasing.
My left side was 5/16" shorter than my right. Not necessary to go to a doctor as surgery was totally not an option for me. I did
go to a chiropractor, and he gave me a plastic wedge shoe lift to wear in my shoe. Here's the strange part though. I though he
would have had me wear it in my left shoe to make me even... Nope! He had me wear the lift in the leg that was longer, which
caused me confusion.. Then explained to me... Wearing it in the shoe with the longer leg makes the other leg stretch. Yep it
worked.. Don't remember how long it took 2 -3 months I'm guessing, but it did work. So now I''m a balanced person.... Well,
maybe except for being mentally balanced... lol.... Just waiting for someone to pound a wedge into my head to cure that.
It ain't gunna happen..... Ha Ha. Anyways, hope that helps.
