O_o; $90 is a LOT to raise in one year!! Aiyoooo! O_o; Our apartment didn't even raise the rent at all this year... our apartment is $725 for about 900 square feet, two-bedroom... No w/d either, and the laundry facilities cost $2.25 to use. ^_^;;;
How's the job-hunt going?
Your 401k?! Already?! Aiyo~ T.T; You've still got money in there? My mom's 401k dropped by about 45%... =( It makes me worried as hell for her.
$900!! Yowch! I only lived in an apartment for over 900 once, and that was splitting rent evenly with two roommates... =
^_^; If you haven't done it by now, corporate probably won't care. But yeah, it might be good to look into. If you have some kind of employee's handbook, you should also check that and see what it says about termination and paying out vacation hours.
What's wrong with Virgin Mobile? And if you're applying for jobs, uh, I'm not entirely convinced that there's any good reason to leave off your main way for them to contact you... o_o; Unless you turn it on constantly to check for messages, anyway. XD
Thank you! Yes, I still work at PSU-- I'm employed full-time now with actual proper benefits. ^_^
WTF! WHAT?! Okay, I don't know *anyone* who pays out unused sick time, but VV doesn't pay out unused vacation?!?! That's just wrong!! O____o; It's vacation you earned! T.T
Normally, I'd say "a job by August would be totally doable! You've worked at VV forever, that'll be a good plus!" but with the current economy... I don't know about your area, but here, people are hard-pressed to even find minimum-wage jobs these days... = Best of luck, though! I'll be thinking of you! And your apartment, too! T.T;;; How much does your place currently cost? O_o
Hey, sorry for the late reply. ^^; I haven't been on Gaia much (as my poor aquariums are testament to...). Graduation was yesterday, and work has been CRAZY. =(
HURRAH for your sister getting SSI benefits! My mom's company might be shutting down... =( So she's hoping to get laid off so she can get severance pay, whereas if she loses her job because the company closes, there will be no severance pay. =( Sighhhh.
