Currently I'm a little sick as the season's changing here and a lot of people are catching the illness. But I'm taking medications to avoid making it worse, so are some of my family members. But other than that, I've been enjoying my free time playing my DS and a bit of zOMG.

Haha, excellent! I loved dungeon crawling all my life! You should try out Nox, an old PC game by Westwood Studios, that has SoloQuest in it; it's both dungeon-crawling and treasure-hunting for both solo and mutliplayer. 3nodding

Oh, I get that. Like, if you're willing to spend the money, that's more power to you.
I just don't like it when people selling tickets (or any item, for that matter) are completely inflexible and unwilling to compromise even a little bit, especially when they're demanding a stupidly inflated amount for something.

I should have clarified my old status, though, you're right. How I'd said it could be taken both ways instead of criticizing the vendor.

The only stage I never completed was that large Tower, accessible after you've beaten the game and found the extra fygg that regains your ability to see Stella. I only hung around in the first floor and didn't go up any further because the monsters there were too tough. So thought I'd come back when I'm done with the grottos before I started a new game now. 3nodding

Really? I found the north area of the map barren... maybe it's in the island...

Just fell off the part where my tutor takes the fyggs and runs off. I wonder how Stella could've stopped my landing if I'm too heavy for her to lift with her wings. XD

And yeah, post-game, I'll be doing a lot of grotto runs because I like treasure hunting!

The game has one? Hmm, that's a region I didn't explore deep enough. Maybe I should pay a visit there... and I think you can get festive cake from DQVC shop. In fact, I use codes to access the shop any time I want to see its "elegant" selections. ^.~

Yes, some point of the game the story doesn't tell you where to go next, so I just sailed along to the nearest new town and explore there. The same thing one does in all other Dragon Quest games- talk to people around for information.

It doesn't sound like you've reached that part of the story yet... I don't think it's a good idea to spoil it for you. I'll just say this: finish collecting all the fyggs that fell off the Observatory, and in your next objective, you'll see what happens!

Well, there' s a log that automatically records the main storyline that you can view by pressing X. Despite having that, I still felt like starting over.

North Pole? xd I don't think there's one but I do know there's a cold, snow region where Swinedimples Academy was located. I liked that place, its school uniforms have a stylish look. ^.~

To be honest, leveling was never really a pain for me, I had some luck with metal slimes and stack metals. The only pain I had was getting funds for new equipment for party members. But I had a lot of luck with alchemy too that my party members already had great equipment by the time we reached the point where I was knocked off that flying train.

I stopped in the middle of somewhere in the previous game for so long that I was so disorganized. Plus I got a new upgrade, and the game loads a lot better than before, so decided to start over a new file. Also, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, even though I acknowledge we all make mistakes, lol

I'll be sure this one won't be started over in the future!
