About

Hullo! I'm Cal the Lady Scorpio. I answer to Cora, Karu, Cal, or Scorpio. I'm 20 years old, and I've been on Gaia in one form or another since 11 October 2003. Just not on this account.

I'm an addict to KPop, JPop, JRock, and MandoPop, but I do listen to things in English on occasion. At the moment, I'm obsessed with Jay Park, Super Junior, TVXQ, Han Geng, Miyavi, and Gackt. For my blurbs/reasons for loving these musicians, see below. If not interested, ignore the asterix and skip down. All information can be found on Wikipedia. smilies/icon_wink.gif

*Jay Park = EPIC! Jay's probably the only rapper I listen to. He used to be part of 2PM, a Korean boyband with JYP Entertainment. He was terminated (a total mistake) in February 2010 and has since rebuilt a solo career through YouTube and hard work. He's talented as HELL, and I swear his smile will make any straight/bi girl (and gay/bi guy) melt. Like a lot of Asian musicians, Jay is really down-to-earth and open, and that's what I love about him. I'm a neophyte JayWalker, and I look forward to seeing him grow as a musician. Tear it up, Jay!

*Han Geng = MORE THAN EPIC! There's no way you can hear Geng's story and not love him. He's a native of China and joined the mega-group Super Junior in Korea. Geng spoke little-to-no Korean on his entrance into the country and had to fly back and forth initially because he only had a 3-month visa. He had to perform in a mask until Heechul - against the law - removed it during the filming of the single "Twins". Geng sued SM Entertainment to end his contract in 2009; he had been made very ill with gastritis and kidney disease under SM's harsh contracts. Since then, he has flourished into a solo artist still loved by Super Junior fans and members alike. Apart from being an absolute hunk, Geng is soft-spoken, humble, talented, and is open and honest with his fans. He's been doing well since his return to China, and I can't wait to see him reach his earned popularity. Wo ai ni, Han Geng!

*Super Junior = Amazing!

*TVXQ = Amazing with 2 or 5 members!

*GACKT = HOT! I admit to being a complete IDIOT when I was first introduced to him and letting myself forget. Gackt is 38 years old and a JRock legend. He was part of Malice Mizer and GacktJOB and is one of the artists that isn't afraid to laugh at himself. Daisukii!

*MIYAVI = One Talented Screwball! Total JRock Spazz. Need I say more?

"Hmmm interestin', I may take you up on dat offer chere'." Remy said with a wink, giving Cal one more slow twirl before drawing Cal back in towards him to where they were face to face once more. The room had become nothing but candles distantly burning in the background of the darkness. He knew that Cal was probably tired and it that it was him, that made her that way. He stopped the dancing slowly to a stand still. Gazing down into her glowing pools of green gazing back up at him. Becoming lost for a moment which he did not mind. Breaking the silence that had formed momentarily between them, speaking towards Cal in soft spoken tones. "Would you like to depart this scenery chere'? And go somewhere... quiet?" Still holding Cal closely to him as he waited for her response.

Take the lead he did. With his left hand moving to rest securely along her waist drawing Cal in closer as he held her hand within his right. The dance was a slow waltz across the floor between the small circular tables surrounding them. The candle light flickering upon each round table set the mood and dance steps that Remy took with Cal in his arms. He took every effort to pull the weight so that Cal would not have to put a whole lot of weight on her ankle. He saw the wrappings, he was not ignorant. He smiled down at her as he stilled in his footing. "So dis place you 'ave, is it like a chateau?" He smirked as he carried Cal across the floor in a whisper as if she weighed nothing within his arms. "Or perhaps like a charmin' cottage by de bayou?" Remy took a moment to swirl Cal away from him slowly before reeling her in so that her back now rested against his chest. Their arms now crisscrossed over one another as he continued to dance with her slowly across the floor.

Gambit saw the discomfort that Cal was displaying. Without hesitation he withdrew both of his hands away from hers. Reading into the mixed message she was broad casting. Cal's message was showing she was comfortable around him and yet... there was a slight possibility that he did something physically or stated something verbally that was disturbing. Then again, Gambit was no where near normal. The last thing Gambit wanted was for Cal not to feel safe around him. He went as quiet as a grave as he sat there and pondered on what to say next. Breaking the silence as he reached over to pick up his glass. Lifting the glass to his lips not taking a drink at first, just reveling in the scent for a brief amount of time. His eyes were not looking upon the alcoholic beverage, they were staring directly at Cal. Gambit was pretty good at reading people, there were times that he was not good at it. This conversation had turned into a gambling game. 50/50. Whether Cal meant for it to end that way or not. She had shown her full deck, laid out for him to see and read. Now it was his turn to display his hand.

If she looked up at him, Gambit could not be read currently. His facial expression was a blank slate along with his body language. As he sat there for what may have appeared a long amount of time in silence. Was she the one? At least in this instance he would not have to take part of an arranged marriage like he had with his first wife, Bella Donna Boudreaux. To make a peace pact between the Thieves’ Guild and their rivals, the Assassin’s Guild. No. Cal was certainly not like Bella Donna Boudreaux. Cal is not the kind of woman to be used as a bargain chip to make certain players ante up. He knew she was quite different. She's kind, thoughtful, beautiful, loving, shy and loyal.

Remy sat there in awe as he already knew that he has the freedom to choose who he wants to be with. As to when and where life their relationship could blossom. The question was...Was he ready? Really ready to settle down and commit? To be with one woman? How many times had he gotten close to women over the course of his life. To only have them leave and make his life a living hell. Or worse die? His thumb idly ran along the rim of the wine glass within his grasp. Life was a gamble. You either make something of your life or you don't. The choice is yours. Remy did not even take a drink from the wine as he set the wine glass back down. Pushing back his chair as he stood up to walk over to where Cal sat. He heard nothing in the background for his attention was settled in upon Cal sitting before him. Standing there, he extended his hand out to her, "Come." Speaking softly but loud enough that Cal could hear him speak. "Dance with me." Remy did not care what others thought, this moment was about them.

His crimson eyes drifted downwards to where Cal's fingers interlaced with his own. Slowly lifting his eyes to meet back with her emerald pools staring back at him coolly. "It's life chere', it's the dark path I've always walked upon. A twisted and crooked path I've adapted too in several decades. We all walk different roads in life." Watching her curiously - she wanted something. That he was more than well aware of.

'I hide a lot of things, you know... I've become an expert of it. Even in the Quarter, wouldn't turning into a scorpion get me some strange looks?'

The darkened smile that appeared earlier never faded away. He chuckled briefly under his breath before taking another drink of his wine. "Chere'? Did you forget where you are? You are in the heart of Voodoo central." He raised his wine glass up as a toast to any "spirit" or "deity" that may have been present. "Here in de city o' New O'leans." Gambit waited for that to sink in before speaking up once more. "O' course dat don't always mean dat black magic is always being practiced here. People prefer the usage of white magic and other miscellaneous spells. So for people to see you shift and change? It might be a shock, den again. People 'ere have seen some real strange things that 'ave occurred 'ere for many decades, perhaps even a century or longer. All types, shapes and colors of people are welcome here. I've yet to see anyone turned away because they are different, Cal."

"Remember that."
Reaching up to place his spare hand against the backside of Cal's hand resting along his cheek. Remy kept eye contact with Cal the entire time. Speaking the truth about New Orlean's history and way of life. It was his home, the only real place he would ever consider home. It's where the blood is thicker than the water. He could only hope that Cal would understand. He'd walked this path in life alone for a long time. He was used to doing what he's always done. Gambling. His choice. His way of life. He always knew when to withdraw when he knew he could not fish himself out of the swamps' waters. He knew how to conduct business and he knew how to handle responsibilities. Even when it meant another person's life was at stake. He knew all the risks inside and out. "Tell me somethin' Cal. What is it that you are really seeking? And if what you are seeking is here... right now. Do you think you are ready to take the next daring step? To do something out of your comfort zone? Not worry about what others will think about you? Are you willing to make that leap of faith - knowing that there might be consequences later?"

Gambit was not trying to scare Cal. He wanted her to know her options in this city. "There is always a way out. Always an exit. It just may not be a door to walk through."

Nervous fidget? He wondered as he heard the steady beating of Cal's heel against the railing of her chair. His left eye brow rose subtly when he heard her state, 'I moved to a new apartment in the Quarter a month or so back. I'm on my own again.' Bringing his glass up to his lips as he took a sip, before raising two fingers up towards a waiter. "Would you perhaps like somethin' else to drink chere'? Or are you fine wit' de water?" He, himself ordered a bottle of merlot to start. Waiting for the waiter to take Cal's order before he started to speak once more. When the waiter finally departed he draped his left arm along the back of his chair taking in a moment to absorb all that she had disclosed. "How do you like de Quarter? Evaone treatin' you well, petite?" Only a few minutes passed by when the second round of drinks arrived.

"Livin' alone does have it's moments to treasure. Den again, the path n' life is a lonely one until you meet de one." He said with a smirk, "Some advice? Don't work so hard to conceal what you don't want others to see. Truth may be known that dey might already know what chu are. Without you realizing you've revealed yourself." He wasn't talking about the knowledge he had about her. There were people out there that were really good about reading a person. Especially those who work extra hard to hide what secrets they don't want released out into the public. "You 'ave to remember where you be livin' now chere'. Secrets 'round dese parts don't last for long. You 'ave to know de tricks o' de trade to hide somethin' you don't want no light shed upon, non?"

Picking up his wine glass he gave Cal a small salute before taking a drink. "To answer your question, I've been doing what I've always done." His smile darkened slightly, "Gambling." That was all he had to say. Whether it be at a poker game or with life, Gambit is always gambling something of high value.

The hugging connection that was made felt wonderful. He had almost forgotten what it felt like to hold someone. What was it about her? The way her hair felt like silk within his grasp, the way she smelled that made a part of him melt. Remy held Cal closely as long as she allowed him. The signal of the gentle kiss along his cheek was when the bell in his head went off alerting him to break it off and take a seat by following her lead. Giving his signature smirk in return for the nice kiss he received. "Merci." He stated with a smile, taking a seat after Cal had settled back into her own chair. Noticing the waiter as he ordered a tall glass of ice water to start, if he felt like having something more he'd do so later. Settling back against the chair, he took a moment to absorb everything on the surface of what Cal was wearing. The way she had her hair fixed, her make-up, the outfit as well as to how she was carrying herself. Lifting his crimson red eyes up to meet up at her emerald eyes. "I've missed seeing and hearing from you too chere'." That sounded more like an excuse but he knew that was the truth. "I'm well, I'm here living and breathing." He waved his left hand in a downwards gesture, still smirking. "Living proof." Tilting his head slightly to the side in thanks as his drink got dropped off. "Things in life are always hectic, Cal. As for anything that's happened within recent times? Nothing to write home about. Non, don't apologize, life happens. I understand that more than some do." Picking up his glass he winked at her before taking a slow swig of the ice cold water. Reversing the question lingering in the air, "How about yourself, Cal?"

It had been one of the longest amounts of time since Gambit had heard even a whisper from Cal. Having received her message, he did not even spend time pondering whether to show or not. Communication was something that Remy valued. Something that simple that had not been practiced apparently in this day and age. People just automatically assumed you knew what was on their mind. It was the assumption part that really got on Remy's last nerve. Being that his thoughts are always blocked. No one could ever communicate with him via telepathy... ever. Even though there were times he was a man of few words, he still valued the common tongue, language of communication. Picking up his cell and pocketing it. He changed into something a little less conspicuous as he made his way to the location that Cal had stated in the message. It was not long that he had arrived at said location, slipping in quietly into the theatre. He spotted Cal sitting amongst the sea of other couples by herself. She was the only red head he saw visibly there. Making his way diligently through the tables he came up from behind, feeling a smile creep up upon his features as he spoke up. "Good evening chere, I hope dat you 'aven't been waiting too long?" Gambit was cleaned up, his five o'clock shadow was shaved and left a good impression upon him. Dressed in an after five dinner jacket and evening attire. He waited there patiently for permission to join her at the table before taking a seat.
