About

Hi, I'm Leena (my real name). I DO NOT RP, just to let you know. I like Gaia because it's cute and fun and keeps me from spending real money I don't have on stuff I don't need. I really like to write, I LOVE Yu Yu Hakusho and I dabble half-heartedly in photography. If you can't find me on here it's because I'm on deviantART.

I ACCEPT FRIEND REQUESTS AND I GIVE GIFTS TO RANDOM USERS JUST BECAUSE I HAVE SOME EXTRA GOLD LYING AROUND.

I don't go into Forums that much because I tend to make an idiot out of myself. I can be found in Towns most of the time. I'm constantly looking for jobs in the Melbourne area of Florida. I've actually never had a job before and I don't have too many marketable skills but I'm hopeful...for now. Because I'm "majorly depressed" I qualify for Voc Rehab and I'm looking into that. Doesn't "majorly depressed" sound like something a teenage girl in the '80s would've said? "You're so majorly and totally depressed, girl". Yeah, they should come up with a better name for it...

PS, My username means "Beautiful" "Red Dog" in Irish Gaelic. "Red Dog" is a phrase used to describe a fox in Irish Gaelic.

Lol yeah, FYE still is carrying naruto merchandise....sadly, wish after 8 years they would see it doesn't really sell and just move on off it, let something new come to the states. Bleach too, sadly, even though I like Bleach, its old news. Plus the most they ever carry for it anyways is like maybe a poster, shirt, and a Kon plush, thats hardly anything compared to what animes back in the day got. Sailor Moon is now being carried by Hot Topic, Spencers, FYE, and Barns and Nobles, you'll find merchandise for that right now along with DBZ as both are making a comeback thankfully lol. XD

Yep, I did go to the con. It was alright, I got 55 different things signed. 80 signatures if you count how many times they signed my DBZ poster haha. I played games for DBZ, Inuyasha, and Yu Yu Hakusho (went undefeated haha) I also played some Smash Bros, Rockband, and Street Fighter and was doing amazing at those too. We checked out the rave, it was neat, but sadly not nearly as cool as the others, so we didn't stay in the rave long. We went to the DBZ Reunion panel Event. I met the Funimation Staff again, which is always nice. I checked out the vendors, the costumes, and seemed to make new friends everywhere I went.

Downsides were I got a speeding ticket, which was bunk, no sleep, hardly ate, was up for 3 days straight, drove there, was awake all the time, then drove home days later still no sleep. Oh, and their dang cafes closed at 3 freakin pm on a dang Saturday of all day, and all their cafes were doing that. The whole weekend I wanted coffee like that episode of Regular Show. I bought my sister a Sailor Jupiter item, and my kid brother an Avatar the Last Airbender item and a Legend of Zelda poster. I myself got a comic book from the voice actor of Krillin that he drew, then he signed it with the rest of my stuff haha. Parking was a b***h at the place, and they charged so much everywhere you'd go. One way streets all through the city, those sucked and were a nightmare to drive through. The fans were ok, mostly drew a ton of stupid narutards because many narutards are the current DBZ fans as the older fans who are my age attend cons less. We also missed a few signings due to that p***k cop stopping us, I didn't even know you could get a ticket for going 1-5 miles over the speed limit, it was pretty bunk. They had a Yusuke figure for 80 bucks that was cool, but I can buy it off ebay for 20.

The con was full of ups and downs, it was a total 50/50. It was half good, half bad. I think if we had a hotel room, and didn't get a speeding ticket, it would have been better by a ton. The voice actors also weren't nearly as happy as usual as thousands showed up and kept asking about that new DBZ movie, and they got tired of hearing the questions about that dang Battle of the Gods movie. It was still nice to see them again all the same, and I felt their pain lol. I heard them talk about it at the DBZ Reunion panel, and let them explain it to us all at one time, instead of us all asking the same question over and over and over lol. The con was decent, but yeah the weekend was a total 50/50, and now I have to see how the heck I'm going to come up with the cash to pay off this ticket. It says I have 10 days to pay it, today was day 5, but I called and its not even in their computer yet, so they can't even yet give me a price on how much it is, so I don't even know how much I owe them yet, because they don't even know how much I owe them yet. I'd personally rather them just drop the dang thing, its for a bunk BS reason anyways, and they clearly don't have their s**t together lol.

Lol thats a good question lol. I don't really draw anymore, I'm either busy or can't seem to sit still long enough to complete it lol. I wonder if theres anything I can do on there with me not adding much art lol.

Wow, you have places open past 9pm? Here everything closes at 9pm lol. Only things open after 9 are Walmart, Meijer, McDonalds, Strip Club, Steak and Shake.and bars....thats all we have here its sad lol.

Yea, Youtube doesn't have as many AMVs anymore as it used to, many of my favs were pulled. One I miss was called "Action b*****d Wants to Hit Me" lol. It was Action b*****d clips from Shin Chan to a song by They Might Be Giants called "b*****d Wants to Hit Me" lol. It fit perfectly! I'm glad my favorite Yu Yu Hakusho AMVs are still on there lol.

Yea, sometime I should make a new deviant art, I'd really like to make more friends who are into anime, my area has maybe a handful, and no anime stores or places that carry it. Usually I'm stuck going between 2-7 hours away to get to a con.

Hummer Tours were cool, its actually how I got my Trunks Signed items lol. Then too back then we had anime nights (At Media Play, Sam Goodie, and downtown Library) all of which are gone and libraries around here no longer even carry anime. We used to have anime events and drawing contests at Boarders, Barns and Nobles, Best Buy, and FYE. However now Best Buy doesn't carry anime anywhere around here, you have to site to store it, and that doesn't always work as some items they don't do that with (Several animes, and some games like DC Universe Online Collectors Edition or Regular, etc.) our Barns and Nobles got rid of their Music and Video section, so lots of their anime is gone. Their anime merchandise is completely gone unless you count Pokemon decks lol. Their manga section is now a small half asile too now, they used to have a huge section. Our FYE has a tiny section on half the back wall of its store, and the store is like a hallway lol so its tiny, and its section is super small. They also hardly carry the DVDs and no place anywhere around here has any anime blu ray sets, they hardly carry anything, or stopped buying more anime. So their "anime" section here is mostly a naruto section, that they never stock, its the same few DVDs they have had for a few years, its sad, they gave up on carrying anime, and what they do have all says "Clearence" or "Sale" because they want it gone. No places do anime nights, events, art contests, etc. anymore. Schools used to have "anime clubs" but our high schools and colleges stopped doing those. You can still find anime cons, meetups, and merchandise in Chicago, but its less stuff and less often. We still get ACEN, Collossalcon, and Ohayocon in the midwest, however there are fewer fans out here and its not as popular as it once was. Also theres more Non-Anime cosplay than their used to be (Adventure Time, Superheros like Batman, Ghostbusters, Cartoons like Simpsons, movies like Shrek, etc.) theres still mostly anime or video games but I'm seeing less anime cosplays lately it seems. Some I don't mind like Power Rangers as those are from Japan too, I even got a pic of a White Tiger Thunderzord lately lol awesome cosplay lol. So its still around but its less popular and its rare nowadays to meet anime fans, I've even been having a hard time finding people who want to go to cons anymore, years ago I'd have a car full, and we would have another carful of friends in a second car lol. I'm hoping this upcoming con will be lively, I'll have to try and bring a camera lol.

This is true fan dubs and AMVs are at a low also indicating my point anime has died out alot after naruto. AMVs were HUGE on Youtube in the 90s and early 2000s. Ever video seemed linked to either Numa Numa or some AMV of DBZ to Linkin Park lol. After Youtube was bought by Google however many Episodes and AMVs were pulled as its "illegal" as the people don't own the rights to use the footage. HOWEVER if that were the case then DJs shouldn't be able to make "remixes" of songs as thats the same damn thing. Its taking parts of someone elses work and combining it with a second person's work and your own and doing it for the purpose of FUN. AMVs didn't claim to own the rights, it was fun FREE Promotion that if you liked the video you'd go out and buy the actual show for its story and not all cut up into a 4 minute music video lol. Or if you like the song you'd see what else the band does and buy their CD. Back then most guys my age were either 1. Watching Porn or 2. Watching a DBZ AMV on Youtube lol. Oh, and we had Myspace, it had everything Facebook does but more. You'd actually make new friends, and hardly any moms or grandmas were on it.

Dang, you've never heard of a Hummer Tour? Basically, it was a Anime Con on Wheels. But instead of you going to the Cons, the Cons came to you lol. They'd show up, you'd meet the voice actors, they'd sign autographs, take pics, and give away promotional swag. You could buy rare anime merchandise, they had pannels, and would hit up places like Media Play, Sam Goodie, and Suncoast. They'd hangout the whole day, sometimes food and gaming. They'd travel the country, Trunks, Krillin, and Cell came here. They were advertised in Anime Magazines, sometimes they'd set up those blow up bouny things, and it was alot of Fun, the Original Z Store advertised it, and they were common in around 2000-2002 or 2004 yet after Naruto they quit doing those. It was one of the FEW ways to meet Yusuke, Kurama, or Hiei. They also did anime showings inside. Back then you couldn't turn around without seeing Anime, Goku and Pikachu were on more random various items than Batman or Spongebob lol
Animes after naruto sadly never got as much attention. These Events were cool, Score hosted some too tho they were either events or dinners. ACEN in Chicago last year had a meet and greet dinner with Vic Mignogna -Broly DBZ and Edward FMA. It wasn't quite the same, they charge ya out the butt, you get a handshake another item signed, and eat dinner in the same room. The anime events like hummer tours were awesome, and animes like DBZ and Sailor Moon got magazines and promotional crap all the time.

Another neat example is the Pokemon 1998-1999 Pikachu Mobile Yellow Volkswagon Giveaway. You heard right! Anime was so much more popular before naruto that they GAVE AWAY Pikachu cars...actual CARS! Anime was a HUGE hit in the USA and back then got merchandise.

The following year they gave out in 2000 Silver Lugia PT Crusers that were decked out to look like Lugia in Honor of Pokemon the Movie 2000 (Pokemon's 2nd Movie) and to Promote their Launch of Pokemon Silver and Gold.

Since naruto came out it ruined animes success, its trying to come back alittle, but that anime killed anime, Toonami is messing up.

Currently a Pikachu Mobile resides in Chicago, we see it when we drive there lol.

Lol it cut off part of my comment, I was just saying Drug Stores would carry Shonen Jumps, food chains carried anime, everywhere you looked it was a hit in America, after Naruto no animes catch on or gain the amount of success.

Only 1 Recent Anime got success after Naruto in the States. Look at Avatar the Last Airbender. While being an American made Anime, it got the entire show run, plus reruns, Plus "Avatar Extras" complete runs and reruns, it got graphic novels, toys wallpapers, video game graphic novels, spin offs, comic books, necklaces, merchandise, a Live Action Movie, and a sequal Legend of Korra. Even that has new episodes in the works. Avatar reached Success here in America. Not close to DBZ, nor will its success last quite as long. However if they do well with Korra and keep bring story and most importantly its got to please fans to stay on TV. I've seen Avatar be a hit for years, its not at the moment buzzing with as much attention as it had been, but if they were wise they could run with Korra, its got potential, and the amount of success is pretty impressive for an American Anime or as some call it "A Nickolodean Cartoon" its had some nice success after Naruto. Wish Hunter X Hunter and Claymore could have been as lucky, they came to that states said "Hereits on DVD in English, we're done"_ lol Anime has had a few good ones since then tho sadly they don't catch on after naruto. I think Toonami is messing up.

Lol those then don't count Hawaii is full of Asians and the figures and merchandise is all imported. Cons don't count either, again all imports. I'm talking about American Sales in Anime are down. Years ago figures and merchandise was made by Irwin, Jakks Pacific, and Bandai to name a few. Its not made for US sales, nor are their US anime card games like their used to be, nor are their US anime video games as much as before Naruto. Nor does it come on as much Example: 2004 Anime came on Cartoon Network, Fox, Disney, SciFi, G4, and a few others. It came on Toonami Mon-Fri. and Adult Swim Sat. compare that to AFTER Naruto. Only 1 Station CN would play Bleach, FMA, Boondocks, FLCL, Inuyasha. And ONLY on Sat. so before Naruto anime was on several channels 6/7 days of the week and some on Sun Morning Anime was several channels ALL week. Thats success. Now AFTER naruto it was 1 channel and late too, you'd have to watch stupid crap too first (Tom goes to mayor, Tim and Eric, Childrens Hospital, etc.) late slots, 1 channel, 1 day of the week, Toonami was dead, etc. it was fail. Naruto killed it. Now tho after DBZ helping revive Toonami with other April Fools Classics, DBZ Kai on 2 Channels, Nick's Avatar the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Voltron Force, DBGT, Yugioh, other stations got more Pokemon, other stations got Anime Wolverine, and Blade, CN got ThunderCats, etc. Toonami's back, Anime is coming back, starting to slowly become successful again lol.

And you just proved my point Yu Yu Hakusho manga is gone as its older and they can't restock it or original Sailor Moons, however neither were pulled, they sold. And as you said New Sailor Moon sells like hotcakes (this is true) it can't stay in stock because it actually SELLS lol. Why are there so many shelves of naruto? Because their fewer fans are vocal, yet it doesn't sell. Its just like how their poor ratings got them kicked from TV twice...you know why Pokemon came on in 1998, stayed all the way while naruto failed TWICE, and continued during years of naruto not being on TV at all, and still is on...cause Pokemon got more views and sales before and after naruto as Pokemon is actually a successful ongoing where naruto isn't.
And One Piece came to the states same time as naruto, its also currently ongoing, also a popular title yet why is there more merchandise for naruto? Because its a weed. One Piece could have been a hit here like it is everywhere else yet naruto got the games, cards, toys merchandise and since naruto came out no anime gets as popular as they used to. Naruto killed anime.

Also I'm only talking about the US, other animes (like one piece) get merchandise in Asia just not here after naruto. In Japan you can buy a Luffy & Goku figure pack, they got more games (Bleach has a TON that never came here) anime is still big outside the US, heck look at Korea's Dragonball Online its a hit and new merchandise yet its not here.
Anime sales are down in the US not as bad as after naruto killed everything but still bad. Our American Stations don't do anime as much, our American Stores carry less of it, and animes get less attention. Cons have fewer people, yet oddly Comic Cons, Video Game Cons, and Adventure Time Cosplay is at a high lol. Can you still find Japanese Anime merchandise? Yep. But you need to seek out Cons & Anime Stores who import it. Anime is more or less underground now, far less mainstream after naruto. Just like arcades still carry DDR but its not the happinin thing it once was, animes the same way. You have to seek it out it doesn't seek you anymore. Example: BK used to do DBZ toys 3 different times, and YYH at Carl Jr. it was on more stations at more timeslots. Its still around, just fewer channels times, is not in our American Media, Stores, or merchandise as much as it used to be. Another Example: How often do you see Anime Hummer Tours now? Never. Before Narurto? Often. Fewer stores carry it too. Drugs stores with Shonen Jump, before naru

Thats EXACTLY my thoughts. They lost my views by putting Naruto back on. It killed Toonami, then it failed on Disney. Its ruined 2 chanelle's anime blocks and hopes at merchandise, why bring it back? DB, DBZ, DBGT, Yu Yu Hakusho, Kenshin, Sailor Moon, Gundams, Voltron, Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha ALL got figures, toys and put on TV, however after naruto came out I haven't seen anime figures, toys, or merchandise. Many of those got card games DBZ,DBGT, Sailor Moon, YYH, Inuyasha, Bleach, etc. Naruto got a card game LAST and it flopped and fail like its 2 times on TV lol. All other animes got complete TV runs, reruns even, card game runs to end of their series, etc. most those animes got video games (look how many animes got games on PS2) then Naruto came out and got PS2 games and killed anime games. Naruto got some for PS3 too, but after Naruto nobody else got games. Naruto killed Toonami, killed anime card games, killed anime video games, and killed anime toys/figures and anime in general inthe US. Killed anime block on Disney, and Anime Stores. Narutos Sales are down so bad hes now wearing Goku's outfit to try to steal DBZs fans and success by copying it. Naruto is trash and the only anime I hate. I don't care for One Piece either, however Naruto killed it too. You don't see the amount of One Piece cards, figures, video games, or TV runs like YYH and heres the funny part Yu Yu Hakusho wasn't too popular in the USA and One Piece was a freakin Global Hit, yet Yu Yu Hakusho had better sales, more TV hours, more success, more merchandise and games, YYH did better than One Piece here yet it shouldn't have. Why? Cause ******** Naruto killed Anime. One Piece helped kill it and Toonami here, yet Naruto played a bigger part. Go to Barns and Nobles, look how many rows DBZ or One Piece take up (1 row or less) how much YYH? Maybe a couple books or none. Sailor Moon? Less than a shelf. Now look at Naruto (2 or 3 shelves, plus magazines) none of it sells. Its funny too, DBZ, Sailor Moon, and even Yu Yu Hakusho had better sales, didn't fail like Naruto did TWICE yet have hardly any manga compared to Naruto. Look at One Piece, came to the states same time, also a "popular" title, yet died same time with Naruto. Look at its ongoing manga section its far smaller than Narutos. I don't care for One Piece it helped kill anime a bit too. But ******** Naruto was a weed that killed the life out of anime. What got anime popular in the states? The classics. What brought back Anime and Toonami? The classics. As soon as they tried Naruto again I quit watching Toonami again, its gonna die again, and Naruto will fail one 3rd and final time. Bringing back One Piece is another bad idea. R.I.P. again Toonami they lost my views, I'm going to put my time to better use and watch Yu Yu Hakusho, which gave Toonami its success as Cartoon Networks Most Watched program in 04 lol.

Yep its now dark brown with black in it, and ever since it changed after getting cut it doesn't look sexy anymore or get as long. Facial hair grows quick now too and black, gotta shave daily as it grows so quick and I don't want to be beaded like the Brawny guy lol.

But yea as for Pokemon Trainer I like Gold, and hes voiced by Goku in the Anime lol. That or maybe Red, I've got 6 of those Pokemon that are in Pokeball Keychains, so I'd have a full party. Then I've got an Original 1st Gen 1998 Pikachu Plush and Pokedex. I can come up with jeans, backpack, black undershirt, etc. I don't have a hat. I also have the Original Official Gym Badges that are metal from the Pokemon TCG League back in 1998-2000. So they are they 8 from Kanto and 8 from Johto, lol so the exact 16 found in Gold/Silver Games lol.

So I'd just need 1. Hat and 2. Jacket like they wear lol

I'm also cosidering wearing my Promotional Voltron Reebok Shoes, and Authentic Green Ranger 1992 Communicator Watch. The backpack I might have some different old school Toonami and classic anime pins. That or I got Keychains like Yusuke, Kenshin, Inuyasha, FLCL, Lucario, etc. I don't want to overdo it but I want to either cosplay or sport my old school anime "swag" as I found they are conversation starters for folks with common interests lol. XD
