We went to the Palace of Legion of Honor in San Francisco and made it in time for a surprise treat: Duo Revirado playing some tango by Astor Piazzolla! It was great. If you don't know that composer, his most famous is I think "Libertango," my favorite cover done by Yo-Yo Ma. Cartier's jewelry was the main attraction but there were some other great pieces throughout, including Love and the Maiden by John Rodham Spencer Stanhope, plus some reconstructions of a couple of mummies. A lot of great Dutch artists too. heart museums.
