Oh you meant in terms of the viruses and the new strains that come about as a result. Yes, I follow now. I thought you meant the people... I was wondering because it's kind of the opposite of natural selection in a way. ^^;

Mhm, I read the whole page on the stats. The level of education and church-going connections aren't surprising, although I would have thought that even high school's emphasis on evolution would have stuck more. Then again, I live up in Canada where the school boards aren't as much under intense pressure to remove evolution from the curriculum or place a big warning sticker on the front of textbooks saying something like, "This is only theory, ok thx bye", so perhaps I'm not as well attuned to all the drama further south. u_u

I'm sorry, I'm not following on the flu vaccinations and evolution part. I wouldn't say there's a direct link there, other than I guess the fact that those who become immune or more resistant to diseases are more likely to survive and pass on their genes.

Ugh, that's a depressing statistic, even the revised one. ._.

"I'm so glad someone appreciates logic and science!" <- Those were my thoughts too! 3nodding

I couldn't believe that girl who thought that DDT was harmless. Where are people getting their information from? @_@
