Because all the German writing/criticism communities online are super slow and dead burning_eyes
And I like to get criticism on anything I create xd

Ah well, you never know! I mean, Fifty Shades of Grey made it pretty far for being a really badly written Twilight fan fiction, didn't it? xd

Haha thankfully I don't have class on Christmas eve anymore. That would be horrible because that's when Germans celebrate Christmas... D: I once had to work all three Christmas days though and I hated it emo

And thank you for the link to the book! I am interested but I won't have the time to actually read before next year c:
I tried writing books a hundred times but always gave up after ten thousand words because my English just isn't good enough for that.

I have exams and clases too... but my boyfriend just left today to fly back to Australia for maybe 4 months and ugh.
I will just have a quiet, traditional Christmas with my family but I wish I had money and time to go on holidays. gonk
Anyway, are you still writing books? I remember you wrote a story some time ago, didn't you? c:

Ah, I remember going through the same thing after coming back from a 3 year hiatus.
Thankfully the rules for the vending are always the same: buy low, sell high.
And made a bunch of friends so that's what's keeping me here.

Life's been good, really difficult school work being a nursing student. Lots of paperwork and really hard exams. But I got to do my first clincal rotation at a hospital this semester and it was a lot of fun!

Evidently my college doesn't offer economics majors so I'm in business administration. I want to be a politician (surprise surprise). What are you trying to do after college?

Yes hiatus. I'm in college now and I got tired of making accounts. Even when I stopped trolling I kept getting banned (...for trolling) so I've been off I think 3 months, pretty much since I started college.

Not really, no. A few kids came by our house but it's not a big thing in both places.
Even my boyfriend was kinda confused when some kids rang the doorbell xd

We had a big party at our house and decorated the whole place like crazy. It was really fun.
Our neighbours are a couple who loves to dress up and it was their idea xd

Wow. You've been to a lot of places!

I don't think anyone knows if they'll be a good teacher. But I think some traits usually stand out that help someone as a teacher -- patience, the ability to explain things in very simple terms (or willingness to try to explain something multiple times, in simplest terms possible), and a genuine desire to help. Also enjoying time spent with kids (if you're going to teach kids).
Being prepared and organized can help - but aren't highest on the list. Recently someone did a survey of most desirable traits in an English teacher and the top listed desirable trait was kindness.
As for teaching in Korea/Japan, it takes more patience and understanding since they're really really shy about their English skills. I had a student speak some English in class today for the first time, and I've been his teacher for 2 months now (i only see each class of students once a week, my school is so large). So I've had 8 classes with him and he's finally opened up to speaking or trying at least. biggrin
Also patience because their culture is really different and they think differently. Smile a lot. Nod a lot. Give a lot of encouragement. But not expect a lot of explanations (they are always hesitant to ask you for things... or outright ask a lot... lol! oh asia. i'm sure you experienced something similar in Japan.. except Japanese people are usually even more indirect).
